Ballmer isn't "stupid", he's just ignorant and narrow minded. He doesn't seem to see anything beyond his own companies walls, just like his obvious ignorance of the iPhone a few years ago or how he thinks Windows 7 DESKTOP OS tablets are the future. Desktop OS tablets have been around for a decade and have epicly failed. Beyond very few very specialised applications and uses they've been a complete fail. Windows Phone 7 may provide a better platform for tablets. Let's hope they see this.

Opensource brings LESS development costs to the companies and at the end USER is owning software and CAN change its behavior with Free software.
