Obviously they don't know what carbon dating means. A statute from 5200 would NOT have more carbon 14! The dating starts from the date it's made and then its decay from that point. Therefore, carbon dating doesn't tell how far into the future something is made.

The plot hole that bothers me the most is that if the wort hog faced terror from the year 5000 knew from history that the women from that time stood idly by while the world went to poopie, then why did she not know, through history, that Latin was a dead language then??

This bothers me more than the negative number Dr. Hedges got from the carbon dating results.

I was never really into that genre, but I was surfing the radio a few weeks back and heard "someday love will find you, break those chains that biiiind you" I nearly lost it, seriously, I sang it just like the Escape 2000 credits and was in tears by the time I was done...lol Servo makes all songs great! (good thing I was alone in the car though, eh?)
