Haha, I notice all the things you have in tank can be found in my local Petsmart! This is a very nice tank, I bought it at the end and love it so much. I don't have much problem with the filter, surprisingly. Maybe all the fishies I got are kind of big. They do love to swim under the filter suction area for some reason. haha. Thank you for the reply!
Question, do you see anyway that the light can be changed out or removed and a new light could be placed instead? I want to keep a planted tank and I'm considering this one, but the LEDs do nothing for plants really.
@gondydude I would think it would be easy to switch lights if you want. It would have to attached to the back part of the tank, similar to the light in the video, though.
The aquarium is really cute! I am looking into buying this as well. How is the tetra filter that came with it, is it sufficient for the 5 gallon tank? Does it take a lot of space? Also, does the lid has a cut off opening that can be used by external powerhead filter?
@Jackyhkable Hi and thanks. I would NOT (repeat NOT!!!) use the tetra filter that came with it. I had guppies in this tank originally and the Tetra filter sucked one into the intake and it died. Long story short, I got a new filter (Tom's Aquarium Products Mini Internal Filter) and it has worked great. The lid does have a cut off opening in the back, but I don't know what size you'd be in need of.
