This song is very sad to me. I am currently 38 years old and have not met my biological dad. I wish he could see me now. Through all of life's struggles, I put myself through school and not only earned my bachelors degree but my master's as well. I am afraid of searching and being faced with denial. Till then well father i hope you have had a good life. As for me I've had the most wonderful stepdad anyone can wish for. Anyone can be a father but it takes a special person to be called a daddy.

@hlandin72 Good luck in all you do.......you sound like a very intelligent individual. I was lucky enough to have a father, cant imagine what you went through but remember this...........it is his loss. Someday he will be sad and alone and realize the mistake he made. My son lives with his mother, he is 16, I make sure that I try to be a Dad to him even though I dont see him much. Get him every other weekend and call him each day. Hours of phone calls each week, dont want to live with regrets.

@hlandin72 never knew mine neither til 15 and didnt meet til 18 and from there on I worshipped the ground that the man walked on til the day he died and he still never accepted me! denial is a harsh enemy which at times I wished I never met him but I love him. so good luck and Lord bless you...

@hlandin72 Look in the mirror. Is there a good man looking back at you? If there is, then you made it. But not without the help or love from the most important people. Your Mother and your Father. ( maybe not biological) , any man with an urge and sperm can be that. But a Father is one that loves, helps, defends, cherishes and protects. Not to mention, supports, teaches, disciplines and is THERE. So your stepdad is the Father. Hard to do but, leave the baggage behind. Best to you.

@hlandin72 Just remember you don't have his side of the story. There are two sides to every story my friend. My Biological father denies me but I take peace in knowing I have obeyed his wishes and gave him what he wanted. I moved on with my life but had I not tryed it would forever haunt me. Could someone help me out? There is a song that I remember listening to when I was a really little girl. It was a country song and my Dad swore it was sang but Pam Tillis or Tanya Tucker.... can someone help me out. i have been looking for a country song from back in the late 80's. i think it was titled something like "i'm still crazy for you" the video shows a guy trying to make it as a singer and his woman thinks it's a waste of time. she leaves him and one day while doibg house work the t.v. is on and she hears him singing ! anybody recall?

This song and his album cut "Blues Of The Month Club" from the same album were strong signs his career wasn't sidetracked by a lack of talent or drive.

How the good ones end up off the air while the flavor of the day new artists get full attention is very frustrating. it isn't better than this. Tony Brown is the man.
