If the dog didn't want to do that, he would've stayed still and not made the effort to pull. Besides the pit-bull type breeds are built for this sort of thing, just look at how broad and deep the chest is, pulling is not a problem for them.

I thought my dogs were unique when they started tugging and pulling me around when I had a rope. So, just to see if they would I strapped them to a cart and behold..they had a blast! Seriously, I've owned boxers all my life and they love to pull. I've trained them to be proper and walk aside me, but sometimes I'll let them pull for some exercise and it's also a bit fun for me if I let him drag me on a skateboard.
To me the weight may be a tad excessive, but if the weight is fairly distributed then I see no harm in this training as I saw no signs of strain.

If the dog didn't want to do that, he would've stayed still and not made the effort to pull. Besides the pit-bull type breeds are built for this sort of thing, just look at how broad and deep the chest is, pulling is not a problem for them.

@OblivionKnowHow Pitbulls absoloutely LOVE to pull things! I have two and I had no clue that the breed enjoys that. I thought my dogs were unique when they started tugging and pulling me around when I had a rope. So, just to see if they would I strapped them to a cart and behold..they had a blast! The breed is known for its strong work ethic and kind caring nature.

You guys do know that before your time some of these kinds of canine were breed for the sole purpose of pulling.
Seriously, I've owned boxers all my life and they love to pull. I've trained them to be proper and walk aside me, but sometimes I'll let them pull for some exercise and it's also a bit fun for me if I let him drag me on a skateboard.
To me the weight may be a tad excessive, but if the weight is fairly distributed then I see no harm in this training as I saw no signs of strain.

@tim0fy Its called weight pull training. Look it up and resurch it and its history. My dogs are cared for very well and well trained members of my family. My dogs love what they do.

@tim0fy to keep them healthy. pitbull's are born with alot of energy and muscle. if they dont get this kind of exercise then their muscle deteriorates and they develop health problems. Plus ptibulls have a lot of drive. They r competitive and love pulling weights to prove how strong they r. duh

@VIDEOZAL My dogs love what they do, they are well taken care of and well trained in obedience and resived training certs as well as K9 good citizen awards. so.... Maybe you should do some research on dog weight pulling as a sport that is fun for dogs.
