umm not trying to offend anyone but the way to animate is using flash. (flash 8). Way better than this and simpler when you get the hang of it.

To make one person move, just click him and move the arrow keys...

And for two people, click the background and move the BACKGround with the arrow keys instead. Help?

not bad but theres anouther way instead of draging the character across you can also click and hold on your character, then press an arrow key and hold that in to make him move. that trick also works with the bg so you can have 20 ppl walking and with the bg moving youd think you were moving them all by yourself xp
