Making a Brood Frame at Gabriels Honey Farm

Nice vid....I'm a beekeeper from Mexico and I also build my own bee hives I just wanted to know why do you put the wire in an X way I put them in horizontal another thing why are you frames so narrow, they are about 2.5 cm mine are about 3.5-4 cm I like how they make it thick thanks hope you see my vid:) keep up the good work....

Thank you for your comments. I use the X method as it uses a lot less wire and are quicker to construct. You cannot put them through an extractor and I only use tham as brood frames anyway. The frames are narrow as they are Hoffman frames and are closely spaced for brood only. Please see our other video on hive construction that shows the plastic frames we use in our supers.
