@getspsycho because i recorded it the way it's played on the album, not the way it's played live. metallica (as well as many many other bands), layer guitars this way. metallica has been known to layer more than six guitars in certain songs.

@simbametal93 thanks man. i actually don't use any pedal, it's one of the modelers built into my studio. i used to use a couple different digitechs (bad pedals, don't waste your money), but they sounded terrible when lined into my studio, so i just started using the preset stuff.

the FR is the exact reason it's my baby (aside the great pickups and playability). Admittedly it's a bit of a bitch to tune in the first place, but once it's in tune it stays there. i dive-bomb the whammy and all sorts of fun shit and am still in tune at the end of an hour long show. =)
