  • You couldn't just edit the part out of taking of caps? ffs

  • Was this recorded with a potato? If so what model?

  • @modman1234567 probably the good ol' russet potatoe

  • can you do this on any mechanical keyboard?

  • @TrAnScEnD3nT Only if the switches are PCB mounted.. if the switches are plate mounted then you have to desolder them all (definitely a LOT more work and requires more skills)

  • you need a real camera, even a cheap one is better than this

  • I want a keyboard with clears sooo badly!

  • i own a Steelseries 7G, i love it, but wold like to change the springs, couse i think the keys are a bit to hard to hold down over longer periods. Im thinking, is it possible to change springs to etc mx.red ? would this be easy or the right choice at all ? Thanks

  • @MissMan666 I would also like to know this, my spacebar has been so annoying, and I want more sound when clicking so I am really insterested bout this

  • Really SHITTY video quality even on 480p! Upload a much higher bit rate video, dammitt!!!!!

  • hi there can you tell me were can i buy the mx cherry switches only ?

    im from Australia

  • I have a new TG3 BL82 keyboard--are you familiar with that model? They also make the 'Deck' keyboards. Anyways, it has a 'splash guard' under the keys which increases the force to depress a key by double. So, I want to remove that rubber membrane, but first must remove all of the keys. Could they just be pulled off by hand as you show here, perhaps starting the first couple with a small screwdeiver--or will I need a puller? One puller I found on line is by a` company called 'Generic'.

  • cut your fingernails

  • What keyboard was this on?

  • just broke my keyboard

  • Doing this takes a lot of patience :D

  • is there actually a difference in doing this when it comes to sound or typing ?? couldnt tell other than a differnt color...

  • @dillontube1

The black switches are linear, and very stiff, they have no tactile "bump" halfway down when the switch actuates. The MX Clears have tactile feedback, but no clicking noise like the MX Blues (the most popular switch for mechanical keyboards these days, great for typing, but loud). The Clear switches are harder to find that the browns, however other than slightly different stiffness in the springs, they are practically identical.

  • this is a simple switch change. i thougt you modified a black switch into a clear :(

  • good
