Obviously forced induction is a replacement for displacement, because it is putting more air in then the engine has room for. This pressurizes the air a bit, but it also is like having a bigger engine. Either way bigger engine or supercharger= more air. I think that its stupid to say that.
This car used to belong to me. I liked it better when it was a stock 340 PistolGrip `Cuda with solid lifters and stock interior. Everyone has a goal. I guess this guy wanted the Pro Touring feel. Enjoy
f**** you with this fotos ......... its booring everybody can download something and create a movie?????? BOOORING AND NO SENSE I want to hear this engine not only watch!!!!!!!!!!
slavollus - Agreed the beginning was a bit boring and strung out but if you had watched or at least fast fowarded the video you could have gotten your "engine" sound. - SDCE, this is a great build but for many reasons, I'd much prefer an intercooled turbocharger setup. I guess for many people though, the exhaust sound is more important than ultimate horsepower.
magnaflowedramx4 - True statement, it's the combustion chamber design (valve and sparkplug location as well) that provides the efficiency. ------ And for lakerskb8ras -- In the mid 1970's to the early 1980's there wasn't a STREET Hemi car that my built 383 or 440 Magnums couldn't beat in my city with a population of over 1/2 million people. If you race and lose, it doesn't matter if you have a HEMI or not. To me, winning is respect, not what kind of engine you have.
badass car, but you could have took the money spent just on the pro charger , built a bigger motor, and made more power.....the way i think is build them all motor, big motor,,,,,,that way there is less stuff to break leaving you on the side of the road.

Going from 261 hp to 428 hp, nice boost, the '73 Cuda and 74 Challenger are among my favorite mopars, the old Dodge Dart aren't too shabby either.

I'm suprised... the curve looks good, but not really that much power from a big engine. Let it lose and go donuts!

@biscuitninja it is a smallblock making decent numbers

Chrysler had a chance to bring a muscle car back to life and they choose the Challenger over the Cuda, what were they thinking?
BigT00001 2 years ago
@BigT00001
Simple. The 'Cuda was a Plymouth. A brand that has been ended. The remaining name, Dodge had the Challenger.
filthydirtyhooker 2 years ago
@BigT00001 I don't think the name "Cuda" is politically correct.

there is no replacement for displacement , 528 hemi cuda is what u should have got
lakerskb8ras 2 years ago
wow a 528 hemi is a turd motor radther use a 440 strocked to a 500 and make 700 hp and a cheap build
importkiller1990 2 years ago 2
r u retarded???? yes its cheaper but the whiole point of a HEMI is bragging rights...u dont get as much respect with a 440 than a 528 hemi
lakerskb8ras 2 years ago
The main objective with HEMI designed engines is that they can breath better. More efficient airflow
