Ah man, Steve is hurtin' bad with good reason of course but I do feel bad for Jo because she does feel terrible for what she did all those years ago.

That scene at 6:00 is so sad because sometimes it's real life :(

Seeing Duke come in at the end sends shivers down my spine ~ wow!!!

  • @spiesoftheheart You are right about that scene:( It's way too common. I count myself lucky that I didn't have to deal with anything like that from my childhood.

Duke's arrival was a real cliffhanger, wasn't it???

  • Adrienne notices that Kayla defends Steve. Sweetness is right, she's the only person that ever saw Steve's heart through his tough side

Scences I didn't see before (Steve talking to Jo)

Very sad that Steve remembers his mother getting beatings. It still hurts him

~ Errrrahhh !!!!! - The Drunken Pig Rapist Daddy...the nerve of him trying to kiss Jo & give her flowers. Wish someone shanked him w/a hospital scalpull.

    Thanks Spies :)

  • @cmammlj Well to be fair, I think Hope was the first in Salem to believe that Steve was a good person, deep down.

Kind of feel bad for the late James Luisi, the actor who played Duke. His character is so loathed...I will always associate his face with Duke Johnson.

  • @bradyclanfan... I just saw a video clip of Luisi on Double Jerpordy, trying to rescue Lonnie Anderson & Wonder Woman Lynda Carter from being held hostage (he plays a Cop).

  • @cmammlj I checked that out!! Thank you oh thank you for giving me another "image" for that actor!!!

  • This was one of my favorite early Steve and Kayla story lines. I loved the emotions that Steve was going through when his family suddenly popped back into his life. That poor man went through so much bad stuff because of that creep father of his. I'm glad that Kayla was there for him even if he didn't want her to be. She wasn't about to walk away and let him go through that pain alone.

  • @DawnYzag I agree with you---this is a very emotional and heavy storyline--this and the rape. It used to not be one of my favorite storylines---only b/c Steve and Kayla weren't lovin' on each other as much---but I have so much respect for it now. This was the storyline that truly defined Steve Johnson's character.

  • @bradyclanfan Oh I think that Steve and Kayla were already starting to fall in love at this time. I know that Kayla was and I have a very good feeling that Steve was as well...he was just so broken from everything that had happened in his life that he was afraid to let himself fall for Kayla but finally he didn't have a choice in the matter.

  • @DawnYzag Oh yes I agree that they were already in love. I just meant that the immature side of me wanted to see more "friskiness" from these two. But it is, for the most part, put on hold until the Summer on the Run storyline. I love this current S/L though and I realize now how important it is in defining S&K's relationship and Steve Johnson's character:D

  • @bradyclanfan

    Thanks two million (tee-hee)

  • @spiesoftheheart You "doubly" rock. MEEP!!
