i tried this recipe but it turned out a bit dry(nice taste though) -i guess i left it for too long or the temperature was too high? my oven doesnt show the temperature. i also reduced the sugar to 2 cups...3 is just too much
you can bake it in a 13 by 9 inch pan, but just use only 2/3 of the ingredients and reduce the baking time slightly too......Around 20-25 mins ( depending on your oven)
wonnnnnnnderfulll....I'm making it now! hopefully it will turn out good! THANK YOU!! I really thank you for taking the time to share a good recipe andeven giving it ti us. THANK YOU AGAIN!!

Try using at least butter rather than shortening for Christ's sake. It's hydrogenated fat. In other words poison...

what is Crisco
minovia2 1 year ago
I don't suggest you use anything else except shortening (Crisco). I tried using oil one time and it didn't work. I have not tried butter.
Insightfulnana 1 year ago
can you use oil or butter instead of crisco

1 tsp of vanilla has always worked.. even for this large batch. However, if you feel like you want to add a little more... by all means do so.

i question 1 thing why only 1 tsp of vinnala isent 1 tsp meant for a small bacth?
