  • you, sir, have a vivid imagination which,no doubt, helped your creativity to come up with agreat ratrod that is still using the original engine !!!... i hope that you at least got clyde's autograph....who knows....it might be worth a few pesos !!!

  • @mschiffel1 haha.. well, when you asked if I was the original owner of a 1932 model.. what was I to say!! DANG do I look that old!!

  • are you the original owner ??? i can't wait to get my heap on the road !!! great inspiration !!!

  • @mschiffel1 original owner? no, I bought it from Clyde Barrow in 1933. it had a lot of bullet holes in it but I got them filled then I stored it in a barn until 1944. during world war 2 they drafted a lot of chevys and some Nashs' so it was shipped over to france where it did a tour of duty hauling soldiers back and forth between the massage parlors and the dr's office. after that, It was stored back in the barn until a tornado took it from Kansas to WA state. it remained in a tree top ...

  • @mschiffel1 until It was discovered in 1972. thats when I moved here to recover it but I liked the area so well I just stayed here and worked on it all these years until I finally got it into the condition that it is today. "near perfect"

  • @1963impala2dr i wonder what he would say about my truck? hahahahahahahahahahaha. what a moron.

  • this truck just gets better and better!

  • @55dude hahaha.. not according to the comment below! had to laugh.. probably a 10 year old

  • I wouldnt be caught dead in this white nigger ride ,lmao they should have found the nearest junkyard and made it crusher food

  • @GoodLyfeCarClub what a tool

  • Looks great so far..but spider web way over used. How about using chain like what you have already have on the truck. That would be different, just a idea?

  • @redsrat56 this is a pretty old video so I dont even remember what I said about a spider web lol.. whatever it was.. you're right.. spider webs are over done.. so are skull and cross bones.. check my later vid.. you wont see any webs :)

  • I spy that you marked off where you're chopping the roof. This so? I hope not as I've got used to the way she is...........Mike

  • Very nice, many great ideas. Your just and older teenager, just like me.

  • @jaivette You're both idiots , lol

  • that is one cool truck!

  • Ken,the rat rod truck looks amazing !! the door panels and headrests are a nice touch!! keep it up -G.L.54

  • thats a sweet ride!!!!

  • love it man

  • I think you're an old kid with an old toy. hahahaha.. It's lookin' great Ken. When we were up in PEI we went to the potato museum and they had some of those old potato sacks in there, and I told Trish you were going to do your apholstry in them.. Wicked good...

  • @rpeek shoot.. might even have a tater sack padded dash before its over!

  • @1963impala2dr How's a poor boy every gonna keep up! hahahaha..

  • Looks Good Ken

  • I think we should do a video of us driving through town interviewing people about what they think of it. Ya know, go to the gas station, grocery store, etc.

  • @vXTotalChaosXv I'm coming to take you for a ride one evening very soon.. I'm building my tail lights today! did you get my text last night ?

  • @1963impala2dr Yeah I did. I know about the whole cell phone law while driving, but what about a video camera law???? Hahaha You definitely need a co-driver!

  • that looks great and i think the horn sounds good .. you could always put some kinda metal work (like your spiderwebs) on the between the 2 posts of your headrests. just an idea... ive gotten quite a bit done also - guess its time to pull a video up. talk to you soon

    colton

  • @sunshineapathy yep.. look forward to seeing your vid!

  • Sounds like headers would really be neat! The next thing would be a dual carb intake, right? ;)

  • @Busia1949 well, I have dual carbs on the old 235 but I dont know if this poor old engine could handle them.. I'll probaby just not spend any money on it.. it runs great

  • You have to have an old ooga horn, That horn doesn't fit, its gotta be an ooga horn, i got a working antique one for $10

  • @NathansBackwoods no thanks but thanks :)

  • @1963impala2dr, i wasn't trying to sell it to you i was just telling you how much people were selling them for, Came across a bit wrong I guess, But if you like that horn go with it, every one has there personal preferences, i just like ooga horns.

  • Lookin' good, man!

One question, is that exhaust going to satisfy the man? Around here it would have to be behind the cab at least to pass. I guess you know why, after eating all the exhaust fumes from your present setup...

    Keep them coming!

  • @Busia1949 I emailed the state patrol and asked if it had to come out behind the cab. they didnt give me an answer but sent me a sheet of rules. TONS of hot rods have headers that dont come out behind the cab. I think the only thing they would get me on is that if.. you shoot a line from the top of the cowl to the radiator.. nothing can be 8 inches higher than that line.. with the rain cap, I exceed that limit by 2 inches.. I have it marked to cut it off. I'm thinking headers! haha

  • IT LOOKS GREAT!!! LOVE THE DOOR PANELS AND THE WINDSHIELD! WISH I WERE THERE TO TEST DRIVE THE OLD GIRL! TAKE CARE. RICH

  • @ncautoman57 come on over!

  • I sure like your new toy!!

  • Looks good..

  • Outstanding :). i really liked the "cut on dotted line" on thye top. that has to be the easiest top to chop there is but I don't know, how's the headroom now? your a pretty big guy(as am i ;) ) and i don't know about driving around all hunkered down and it looks like a pretty radical chop.

  • @jacktheripped yeah, I put that on there a long time ago.. I'm not gonna chop it.. not for now at least.. theres plenty of head room tho if I change my mind

  • looking good think i'd put maybe some foam tubing on those headrest poles for safety

like the old drive train idea of making parker/ indicator lights

not too keen on your idea of yellow wheels though lol thinking red would look better

best part of a project like that is when you get to drive it after all the hard work

  • @GreenJ61 then paint "your" wheels red lol

  • That thing is coming out real nice, the only problem I see is the croud your going to draw where ever you stop. But I'm guessin you'll be able to handle it ha ha. The best part about your car is no mater where you go you'll never pass your self. Thats the beauty of a hand built RAT ROD,got to love it. Enjoy.

  • It just keeps getting better and better. It's great because you can hear the excitement in your voice. Must be fun seeing it all come together so well.

  • @RamblinAround haha. like I said, a kid with a new toy!

  • first view! yay! hahahahahhahaha. looks awesome man.
