I also travel quite extensively and going to a tourist paradise isn't always rosy even in a developed country. Point well taken. but, India needs energy now. Wind is not always dependable and not as proven as nuclear. further more, India has already invested too much in nuclear to stop now. I agree with you, india should invest in wind,(probably will). India also is making plans for solar power fields. Wind is more dependable in coast, but risk such as hurricanes and tsunamis have to be considered also. also, put windmills in the ocean are very expensive then on land and maintenance cost high.
