Wal-Mart used to be a great store that focused on selling mostly "American-Made" products. In 1986, Clinton became the company's first female board member, Wal-Mart was a fraction of its current size. Hillary continued until 1992, the same year that Sam Walton passed away. The company did not enter the Chinese market in 1996 through a joint-venture agreement, four years AFTER Hillary left the board. In 2000, H. Lee Scott was named president and CEO and US sales had doubled since 1995.
