@joehandsome99 Would you mind telling me what the first plane that you ever flew was?. I am a new flyer, and this is the first plane that I got. I have gotten it to fly, but it is still relatively shaky. Any suggestions? Thank you! (this review has helped a lot)
I just got one of these for Christmas, and this excellent review has helped a lot. This is my first RC plane, but I know my way around the controls and am no stranger to airplane flight characteristics. Very nice review and demonstration!
I really want to get this or the t28 I've never flown a plane before, does this mean I shouldn't get it, should I just buy the hobbyzone champ, I don't want to buy champ then an ad ace plane. I don't have that type of money
I just got this I'm a rookie it's speed surprised me and is very manuverablr I've don many barrel rolls and a couple of flips I can get it out of site if its about to crash just pull up and it's fine best plane ever
Can I use the t x from my blade 120 sr on this plane, I also have a blade sr which one would you suggest or should I just get the rtf one, anyone plz respond, I really want to order this plane, also, can anyone suggest a micro seaplane, iv been looking at the coosa but I dint no much about then, like the idea of not having big clumsy floats extending off the bottom of the plane, on the coosa, the belly of the plane is a bilt in float , seems like this desighn would have much less drag plzrespond
great little plane i love mine. if your new to micros i don't suggest getting it until you get some experence try a j3 cub, vapor , or cessna they are 3 channel. also this plane is very fast for a micro, its speed really surprised me and plenty of power it will go completely verticle till you drain the battery. " the only problem , never enough batteries!!!" be careful on landings i have had problems with chipping of the prop if i take off and land on pavement, seemslike i got short land gear
@Rcflyyer1 it glides real nice however you will want to use a bit of throttle for landings in no wind in wind if you angle it right you can float it down
Im ordering this plane as soon as I find out if I can use the tx from my old blade cx..(lp5dsm)i also have a blade sr,wich tx would u recomend if any??would hate yo have yet another tx(i have quite a collection)p.s luv ur videos, hope you get sum kind of credit from the hobby store for all your valuable input!!!lol

can you tell me whats the difference in channels starting from 2 channel 3 channel and 4 channel im starting to get into rc planes and would like some information and also whats a good start plane that can do loops and rolls?
@hoodstarx1 2 channel is just throttle and rudder, 3 channel is elavator rudder and throttle, 4 channel is alieron elevator rudder and throttle, and 5 and + channels is just everything a 4 channel has just like gear or flaps or other things and a good plane to start off that can do loops is like a hobbyzone super cub lp something high wing like that, but rolls usually have to have 4 channels which is harder for beginners so i would recommend just a 3ch plane for now

@parkzonecorsairtips I keep my micro planes within 300 feet. I haven't pushed that envelope with this plane, but with other micros that is about max range. Others may disagree, but it's a micro plane and 300 feet is a long way.
hey, ive been flying a hobbyzone champ (3 channel) for a while now, and ive really grasped it well. im basically using trees as an obsticle course with no issue. i havnt used a 4 channel plane yet, and ive been thinking about trying one. would you suggest this as a good choice? i dont have alot of room around me, so i have to be looking at a micro.
would you recomend this to anyone that has flown a Mini / regular Super Cub by hobbyzone and also if this would fly off the street without to much risk of it being too fast to steer away from buildings? (I live in a street where all the houses are 2 storys hight)
@ElRhinoProductions I have flown a mini and a super cub myself. This is a good plane, but it all depends on your ability. I can't say if you are ready for this plane or not. You are the best judge here. Thanks for watching.
this is my first alleron plane and i want to get a corsair in a couple of weeks i got the micro p-51 today and well i learned that you cant use the ruder anymore like i could with the supercub so my question what do i use the ruder for im kind of new but i catch on quick i havent crashed but like 2 times with this plane so far but some helpful tips for a new guy would be nice thanks frome anyone lol
I can vouch for inverted flight with this model. Its a little scary at first because its so sensitive, but if u get enough height u can safely fly inverted.
FYI just a hint so all you R/C fliers don't loose frequency of your plane w/ the Spektrum DX6i. You should always have the antennae facing the right at a 90 degree angle. so the tip is facing the right
it depends what size you want. if you want something small, you should try out the Parkzone J-3 Cub. It should be an easy plane to start with, and you can fly it just about anywhere. It also has the same transmitter as the p 51 in this video, so you can buy the without transmitter version, called BNF, for the p 51 when you get ready to move on. Search---- Parkzone Micro j 3 cub on youtube, horizon rc does a great review on it.
Now if you want something big, you should try the Hobbyzone Supercub LP. its a great starter, and features something called anti crash technology, which helps keep the plane level in the sky. im not sure what the exact size is needed to fly it, but its a great trainer, and you can fly the Parkzone F 4u corsair or T 28 trojan after that. You cant after the J-3, it'll be too big of a jump. A friend of mine said you can fly the p 51 after the J-3, IF and a very big IF you take it slowly.
It's too light. The wind effect on it is too large! Never make planes out of light foam if you want them to reach high places and maintain stability. Besides this can break so easily in half. No point more than 15 dollars for it.
Are you saying that this isnt worth more than 15 bucks? if so, you are crazy my friend. these are meant for indoor and calm to no wind conditions, and that is where they excel. they would also NEVER rip in half, unless ur flying them in a tornado
WHERE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FIND AN INDOOR PLACE THAT CAN SUPPORT THE PLANE'S SPACE REQUIRMENT?
And The foam will break easily if it hits the ground in a bad angle. I know these types, the foam is just too thin. It would easily break or more likely bend (completely ruining the flight balance) if they hit the ground while landing... Besides its as light as a feather,,, you cant fly something that light without too much power to keep it going. Or itll spiral. This plane wont last you a month out.
have you flown this airplane at all? It flies easily in a two hoop basketball court. It can slowfly wonderfully. so any gym that will let you, has enough room to fly this.
I could fly this in my school gym easily. i wont be able to unleash its full potential, but i can fly it. i always fly my Parkzone citabria there. ive been flying the citabria for over a year, and have replaced nothing but a propeller, which broke because of pilot error. i can cut the citabrias power at the top of the gym, and itll come in for a perfect 3 point landing.
I have the SU-26 and the Cessna 210 and fly them at a football field all the time even in a light wind and have never broke them in half in a crash also never replaced anytiing but a prop. This plane is next on my list and I'll bet it will last way longer than a month. These Parkzone micros are pretty well bilt for there size and on the Dx6i transmitter do quite well for the price. I'll admit flying over grass does help in a mishap but everthing has its limits.
I had to tweak my elevator on mine in order to get it to fly well inverted. Rolls aren't that great, but adequate for such a little plane. It's not a quarter scale or anything so it's going to squirrel some, but manageable. The under cambered wing gives it the excellent slow flying metrics. It doesn't like a lot of wind, but who'd expect it to? All in all I like it better than the E-flite P40 Warhawk.
That was cool! Im a Parkzone Corsair F4U owner and i was thinking about getting one of these and with this fantastic video I definitly will! Thanks Eric!
E-Flite is releasing a micro profile 3D airplane very soon and I have one on order. It is called the 4 Site. Check it out online at Horizon Hobby. The preview video of the plane looks great.
Great review Eric, I got the sukhoi for 30 bucs from a dude and that p-51 seems like it is allot better than the suckoi. ;) I got the micro spitfire from phase 3 and it was cheaper and flies much better than the sukhoi but its all good!
The P51 has a little more power than the sukhoi and can pull a loop alot easier. The lower wing on the P51 makes it a little more docile than the sukhoi, but it is still fun to fly.
E-flite is coming out with a 4-site micro 3D profile plane next month and I already have a PNP on order. It looks like alot of fun from the previews.
Try a mini super cub next. I just got one from a friend and it is fun. Flies great and I can fly it in my front yard. Maybe after that try an apprentice. It is a trainer plane with ailerons.
My dad said since my HZ mini super cub is kinda busted up alot he's going to use it and I might switch to the 4 ch micro p-51 because I think using ailerons for turning is way more easier than using rudder and also you can fly inverted. ;D
The P-51D is more docile than the sukhoi. Both are a handful in the air. I would suggest getting a few 150 mAh batteries for spares. I look forward to watching your videos Bob.
Another great micro plane :-) I'm holding on this one, I already have the Mcx, Msr, Sukoi, Vapor, and now there is the 4-site coming out, that one looks interesting too...ouf!! Thanks for sharing Eric. BTW, that's a big Gym ;-) lol
I got it for the scale looks because I will more than likely get it's big brother this winter. I already have a PNP 4-site on order with the hobby shop. BTW, I did fly in the gym, but too many distractions as a group of came in to play basketball about one minute into my flight
There are so many choices for you out there. It would be hard to suggest something for you. If you like the cub then give it a try. Thanks for watching.

The J -3 cub is 60 dollar cheaper, at 120 dollars.
It has a 2.4 ghz spektrum radio, and you can use the remote for other planes and helis.
It has a smaller size, which means you can fly it almost anywhere outside, BUT because its so small, there has to be almost zero wind.
The Hobbyzone supercub LP costs 180 dollars
it doesnt have a spektrum radio, but a 72mhz radio
it has anti crash technology.
Its much bigger, so you can fly it in a little wind.
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
Hope i helped.
Cheers- Dara
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
oohhhh I get it noww... 2.4ghz spectrum stuff is DIGITAL and the others are analog. right??
mememojo 2 years ago
I prefer the spectrum radio over my futaba 2.4 ghz Tx as it is easier to program and the model match is another great option.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
hey can u still do barrol rolls and flips and stuff like that with the stock transmitter ?
agentpdiddy 2 years ago
Yes, the stock Tx works fine with the P51.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
It's too light. The wind effect on it is too large! Never make planes out of light foam if you want them to reach high places and maintain stability. Besides this can break so easily in half. No point more than 15 dollars for it.
ashthegreat 2 years ago
Are you saying that this isnt worth more than 15 bucks? if so, you are crazy my friend. these are meant for indoor and calm to no wind conditions, and that is where they excel. they would also NEVER rip in half, unless ur flying them in a tornado
SpartanDara117 2 years ago 2
WHERE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FIND AN INDOOR PLACE THAT CAN SUPPORT THE PLANE'S SPACE REQUIRMENT?
And The foam will break easily if it hits the ground in a bad angle. I know these types, the foam is just too thin. It would easily break or more likely bend (completely ruining the flight balance) if they hit the ground while landing... Besides its as light as a feather,,, you cant fly something that light without too much power to keep it going. Or itll spiral. This plane wont last you a month out.
ashthegreat 2 years ago
have you flown this airplane at all? It flies easily in a two hoop basketball court. It can slowfly wonderfully. so any gym that will let you, has enough room to fly this.
Revelations1134 2 years ago
I could fly this in my school gym easily. i wont be able to unleash its full potential, but i can fly it. i always fly my Parkzone citabria there. ive been flying the citabria for over a year, and have replaced nothing but a propeller, which broke because of pilot error. i can cut the citabrias power at the top of the gym, and itll come in for a perfect 3 point landing.
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
I have the SU-26 and the Cessna 210 and fly them at a football field all the time even in a light wind and have never broke them in half in a crash also never replaced anytiing but a prop. This plane is next on my list and I'll bet it will last way longer than a month. These Parkzone micros are pretty well bilt for there size and on the Dx6i transmitter do quite well for the price. I'll admit flying over grass does help in a mishap but everthing has its limits.
leatbiii 2 years ago
I know, but im not the guy complaining. Its ashthegreat. you should reply to him. i already know, as i have the citabria
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
I have this plane and it so so so strong. I crash full speed all the time while pilon racing it in a gym and it never broke.
jkherberger 2 years ago
Eric, yes a well done review. Thanks for tanking the time to make it. This looks like a reall winner...and going on my Christmas list, heh-heh!

JaleelJohanson62 2 years ago
this plane looks like its got great slow fly characteristics. i think it could be my 1st 4 channel, cuz im into micros only
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
I wanna buy a micro plane to start flying....I was searching for the parkzone cesna 3 ch but I cant find....this one is a good option for beginneers?
paulofritz2908 2 years ago
the parkzone j- 3 cub micro should be good. its also better than the cessna, cuz its in spektrum 2.4 ghz

Do you recommend this plane? I want a micro 4 channel, since I already fly an Edge 540. What is the best micro 4 channel for 3D flight?
monster271 2 years ago
E-Flite is releasing a micro profile 3D airplane very soon and I have one on order. It is called the 4 Site. Check it out online at Horizon Hobby. The preview video of the plane looks great.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
id say wait for the micro 4-site by e-flite
patrickfight1 2 years ago
Well I would, but I've already got an ARF. I was looking for a RTF just to mess around with, you know.

Great review Eric, I got the sukhoi for 30 bucs from a dude and that p-51 seems like it is allot better than the suckoi. ;) I got the micro spitfire from phase 3 and it was cheaper and flies much better than the sukhoi but its all good!
youtwoba 2 years ago
The P51 has a little more power than the sukhoi and can pull a loop alot easier. The lower wing on the P51 makes it a little more docile than the sukhoi, but it is still fun to fly.
E-flite is coming out with a 4-site micro 3D profile plane next month and I already have a PNP on order. It looks like alot of fun from the previews.

Try a mini super cub next. I just got one from a friend and it is fun. Flies great and I can fly it in my front yard. Maybe after that try an apprentice. It is a trainer plane with ailerons.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
i love the look of this plane but it seems like the sukhoi flies much better (based just on watching your videos). great review
wildhover 2 years ago
The P-51D has more power and can pull a loop alot easier than the sukhoi. But if you are more into 3D flying then the Sukhoi is the better choice.
I got the P-51D for scale looks and will probably be getting it's big brother this winter.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
Neat. That looks like a great little plane.

Great review Eric as always. Great little plane...5 Stars!

Thanks James. That new plane of yours looks sweet and your price for the plans are great.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
My dad said since my HZ mini super cub is kinda busted up alot he's going to use it and I might switch to the 4 ch micro p-51 because I think using ailerons for turning is way more easier than using rudder and also you can fly inverted. ;D
Pokelnora 2 years ago
I like flying the mini super cub around the yard at home and the neighbors get a kick out of it also. Thanks for watching.

micro's rock!

Nice review Eric, I just bought a Sukhoi & aP51D today. Haven't flown them yet. Nice flight 5*****..............Bob
eggyhed 2 years ago
The P-51D is more docile than the sukhoi. Both are a handful in the air. I would suggest getting a few 150 mAh batteries for spares. I look forward to watching your videos Bob.
joehandsome99 2 years ago
Another great micro plane :-) I'm holding on this one, I already have the Mcx, Msr, Sukoi, Vapor, and now there is the 4-site coming out, that one looks interesting too...ouf!! Thanks for sharing Eric. BTW, that's a big Gym ;-) lol
Skydive4ever 2 years ago
I got it for the scale looks because I will more than likely get it's big brother this winter. I already have a PNP 4-site on order with the hobby shop. BTW, I did fly in the gym, but too many distractions as a group of came in to play basketball about one minute into my flight

is your dx6i full yet?
helicopterkid1996 2 years ago
I am up to 9 I think. The P-51D is sharing the same channel as the sukhoi to save a slot on the DX6i for me.

it looks really cool.

hey eric i an a beginner flyer and have flawlessly flying my alpha .60 trainer for about maybe 15 great flights or more
i really want ia pane i can fly on my 10 acres (perferably a hand launch)
definately a gas powered ... what do you think of a .10 size j3 cub?
just for something to fly at home of a day i cant get to a flying field either that or an rtf electric most likely a high wing like a cub
thanks

There are so many choices for you out there. It would be hard to suggest something for you. If you like the cub then give it a try. Thanks for watching.
