OMG i rememba they used to show this film alot on the scifi channel (as well as many other 70s n 80s films: too many to name though). BUT now things are different n those were the good ole days...
This was one of my favorite movies of all time. I wonder if there is a real place that has displays like this one, built on horror instead of movie stars. PS. The Marquis de Sade scene is hot...
@assflog I remember seeing something similar in San Francisco back in '96. It was actually quite disturbing, but enticing enough to the senses that you couldn't help keeping your eyes wide open. And, yes, there was a something closely resembling the Marquis de Sade's exhibit. I'll never forget seeing a severed head that looked ominously real. Have you ever read the Robert Bloch story "Waxworks?"
this was my favorite film ever when i was 5 in 1989. and i had to always sing along at the end "it's my party and i'll cry if i want to, cry if i want to, you would cry too if it happened to youuu" I remember seeing waxwork 2 years later and being bored...but i think it's time to give it another shot
@sph1984 Yes, give it another shot. It's not as good as the first, but it does have its moments. I was fourteen when it came out and was never really scared by it but liked it for its endearment for "cheese." The same reason I've always been a "Tales From the Crypt" fan.
The Movie's Great but is the sequel any good? I mean it's a streach, you know time travel other dimensions and all that. It's takes a good director to produce a film with these unstable elements without making it a flop.
Wow, this looks awesome. And it's American?! It gives off a 70s Italian horror feeling to me. Almost like a Lucio Fulci movie, with a couple of parts that look like Argento could have done them. Does the director of this have any other similar movies?
i love movies from back then because it was mostly puppets, make up, and sometimes little robots. i dont like some of the cgi crap they started putting in films. this one is a good one btw
yeah you know I've always thought the same shit. Atleast when they put puppets and costumes in movies, monsters were actually live on screen. Not this bullshit where a shitty computer image is pasted in later while acting is done shittily around it.
this was a cool flick it is ashame that it is not as popular as it should be i own it on dvd.i think david warner is a good actor and the show made yah feel like you were haveing a good time for a hour and a half.
really underrated movie

The wherewolf scene scared the socks off me when I was a kid *shudders*
Then there's the part where the girl trapped in the vampire story realises she's eaten her boyfriend - gross!
Top 80's horror. It was nice to see Zach Galligan doing something again to.

Such a cool trailer, and a great 1st half. Too bad the climax was so much of a letdown, that it caused the movie to become forgotten.
