  • @keithblabbermouth don't forget Beiber.

  • Ahh, this takes me back to the good ol' days. Back when you could turn on MTV and they actually played (good) music.

  • @centerforce2 yeah when you could leave your front door wide open with a sign on the door saying 'take what you want' and no one would. I'm 19. pointing out the ol' MTV/Good Old Days clique :)

  • Chloe don't know better... Such a song this is ... and so much meaning ... who knew he was riding that pony and would someday fall... so soon...RIP Andrew

Love Rock .. gotta love it!

    Peace

  • God. I hate being born in the mid 90s. New music is all crap.

  • Love Rock ... and it is ,, dreamy and beautiful..RIP Andrew Wood.. we miss you @~~>~~>~~>

  • oh my god this is fantastic

  • love this whole album. APPLE love love.

  • Why couldn't i be born in the 80's?! Or even better the 70's! Fuck my generation :'(

  • i was named after this song too!!!!

  • this brings me back and yes many named after this is the original start of the scene to bad he destroyed his life he was so talented we will always miss him

  • @derekshot Yes I remember so much of this time. I was 21 and in my band and remember thinking just how cool and different MLB was. I was so into them. I was actually listening to them about a year and then someone told me he was dead to which I got bummed because I knew that they would be huge. They would have set new standards like Pearl Jam did or Niravana but in a totally different way. I am glad that a new generation is being turned onto them.

  • this, i love

  • @JPabloITALIA

Wow I hate you guys. I was only a little kid then, now, in my prime, modern pop culture is riddled with ignorance, stupidity, and the greediest, shittiest, and most regressive mentality. I only hope the major labels and mainstream media outlets become obsolete in the future, I mean, the only thing my generation has going for it is in the underground, although yours was once like that too. Even still, late 80's pop is amazing compared to modern crap.

  • @VegitoVai90 to be fair thats what nostalgia does, particularly if you were to young to quite remember everything about a ime or place,it makes everything about it seem so much better than the here and now but there was alot of shit music in the 90s like any other generation and theres alot of good music now,yu just have to find it.

  • @VegitoVai90 MLB weren't like massively big like Wham or whatever but their music survived and you just have to listen to the stuff you love and hope that it survives for another ten or twenty years or more :)

  • @VegitoVai90 you're right guy, i have 26 years. im agree with you today the music is't totally shit jaja not all but almost, we need more humanity more fellings honestly artists with a music schooll passion now everything its money and big productions see you man!

  • ANDREW WOOD R.I.P

  • thank you andrew for your song you was so great

  • It is kind of cool how a special tune can bring you right back to that time. This one was always a special song, and was a major part of the soundtrack of the best days of my life. God, youth is wasted on the young, eh?

Warm days, cold beers, late nights. First kisses, young love, basement parties, high school trials and tribulations. This tune brings it all flooding back. I think I'm going to go home, watch Singles, and go through the old yearbooks...

  • @Kalimata101 i was just thinking the same thing this was the greatest time of my life

  • I miss the 90's so much....probably the best years of my life to date...and this CD was a huge part of it. Thanks for postinng Love Mother Love Bone.

  • GnR made also some grunge songs .... hear the last 5 songs of the album " lies "

mother love bone also early grunge ..... but mother love bone with rock n roll influences ....

nirvana is grunge with punk influences

  • wish they could have made more albums

  • respect

  • I named my daughter Chloe after this song.......one of the greatest songs ever written. It should be right up there with Stairway to Heaven and Freebird as one of the rock greats!

  • my best friends name is chloe!

  • @mindydee113 same with my parents

  • Sort of like a ,not gay, Guns N Roses that plays Grunge.

  • hahaha that's amazing!

  • @ChadRB88 I may be reading it wrong...but GnR gay?? no sir haha

  • No Guns N Roses was pretty gay compared to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc.

  • more like before GnR and a fore-leader that was grunge before the term was even coined

  • can anybody tell me the story with Stargazer......I think it was the tall skinny wiry haired gal.....

  • @Raiderfn31 her name was Zana or was it Xana? yes, she was tall, skinny & wiry with long brown hair. I used to see her at parties around Seattle....back in the day. she was Andrews girlfriend and much taller than him. lol

  • Remember when the 90's were a bit more laid back? Like we were trying to bring back the 60's... It just never meshed, we never solidified ourselves as a generation.

We loved the 80's, yet pushed fourth the 90's! We did revolutionize music in our own way.

  • @fiercetyme dude, you kinda summed it up accidentally... we were disaffected, a generation in transition. Grunge made it cos we were all homeless, we're the kids of divorces, the internet, the generation that suffered the fallout of alot of what came before us. We are the result of the freedoms fought for in the 70's and eighties, and not all of it is pretty.

  • @fiercetyme so fucking truue

  • @fiercetyme did i say it ....so true

  • @fiercetyme yeah I feel u was a great time in life for me was fresh and exciting!

  • Class music. temple of the dogs tribute to Mr. Woods is a fine album also. tog e go bog e-up leitrim!!

  • 105775, I think about 75000 of those are mine :D

  • Ha ha ... sweet !!

  • @Ikheetchris1

right on... likely his deepest emotional song ever written

  • Just one of these few perfect songs!

  • R.I.P. Mr. Wood

  • it's on their EP Shine & on the soundtrack for the movie Singles.

It can also be found on their compilation album title Mother Love Bone also know as stardog champion.

  • I'm 22 and am hearing this for the first time right now. It's absolutely incredible. I've been listening to pearl jam since I was 14 and yet it has taken me this long to find out about mother love bone. Better late than never I suppose. Pardon my ignorance but could somebody tell me the name of the album so I can purchase it. Cheers.

  • "Like a crown of thorns, it's all in who ya know."

Don't know why, but I feel like I understand what he means.

  • just love it ...

  • This is the infrastructure for all of the Grunge scene came up after this awesome record!

    RIP Shane.

  • This song is the key to my heart.

  • Chloe's just like me.. RIP Andy!

  • @Victor020988, cobra12r and caseyjade86.

all of you just shut up and enjoy the music!!! Andrew Wood wouldnt want us fighting over wat version is better. he'd want us to enjoy the music.

    so relax!

  • What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Lessons never learned.

  • god this song makes me so sad, particularly the intro... I always think of andrew. Man he could have gone down in history as one of the best vocalists

  • Well, in my books, he is the best vocalist. No matter how far they made it. That voice is something else, something never heard before or since.

  • 20 years later and this song still kicks ass. Wish Andrew hadn't left.

  • @jorloff I agree this is my favorite MLB song!!!!!

  • Chloe Dancer/Crown of thorns... Man I love this and live version of PJ, I am in great debt to this band.

  • That's a big mouth for an 10 year-old like you that does not know how to read OR WRITE. And I'm going to quote you; Learn to read before you run your mouth mother fucker... I was talking about the PJ cover version, and besides I don't have to explain myself to a childish prick.

  • dude shut the fuck up hes right and u know it, and 10 year old, that was early 90s music so oviously we've been around moron, and explain urself u made a dipshit statment and were called on it so be a fucken man and shut the fuck up

  • ...The only statement I did was that I liked this song as well as Pearl Jam's cover, so fuck off

  • Viva los ´90!

  • 92, 93 here in Portugal...,

MLB, Pearl Jam, and Seatlle Bands..

18 years ago, one wife and a lovely daugther, we still love it...

  • They're so awesome(:

  • i only like the first part, i think. basically the start of the song till 2:00 in. oh well

  • AMAZING

  • the best in this song is the link between the piano-part and the guitar part!!!! beautiful!!!!

  • theres something beautiful and magical in the piano and the singing of andy

  • God, I wish I lost my virginity listening to this.

  • This song is a true treasure.

  • I kind of wonder if Andrew Wood didn't die, would there ever have been a Pearl Jam?

  • there would have been a wonderful duett between andy and eddie:)))

  • That would have been interesting. But on the downside, there would have never been that great Temple of the Dog tribute album. Well, at least MLB made some great music while they were together.

  • Yo im so with you on that, i bet you if you asked any Pearl Jam fan where there roots came from....they would have no clue at all.....This song is just amazing, wish the piano part was played through the whole song...

  • i'd expect them to say temple of the dog is where it all started for pearl jam

  • cant believe this song can stil bring me to tears, it was decated to me by a x boyfriend when we were fighting. junkies at the time, go figure.

  • If I had to pick one song to be considered the greatest ever recorded, it'd be a toss-up between this and "Stairway to Heaven". God, I love Mother Love Bone.

  • man...lost my grunge collection t'other day...hard drive got wiped...sigh. rediscovered this track though courtesy of youtube...the beauty of music listened to in your youth...takes me back with a tear in my eye...fucking ageing is getting old

  • No, I do listen to grunge, being named after this song helped introduce me to grunge. My mom and my listen to pretty much the same music so it's a given that I love grunge as much as she did.

  • that's great..it's very important that people at our age(15-20) listen to grunge and not pop crap..it would be a shame if this genre exctinct..

  • Amen :) I would rather listen to classic rock and grunge over any pop or rap from today.

  • Man, I wanna give you a million thumbs up to that comment. Pity i can only give one...

By the way i'm 17 and i love grunge also plus other old music genres like funk-rock :D

  • haha I was named after A Pearl Jam song!

  • Yep, I'm a 16 year old girl, you don't find many of those who listen to grunge, haha. I grew up on rock and it's staying that way :)

  • my daughters name is Chloe :)

  • Haha must be jeremy!! :D

  • The song I was named after :)

  • wow..do you happen to listen to grunge..?or it's just your name..

  • that is truly beautiful!!!

  • Great song!

Reminds me of the beginning of pearl jam, nirvana... The time I enjoyed music most. Today Kings of Leon are the only ones arising such great emotions when listening music

  • dude, this is Pearl Jam before Eddie Vedder

  • Seriously ... these guys were part of the beginning of the whole grunge scene. Music would not be what it is today if if wasn't for artists like this.

  • Beautiful.

  • what the hell are you talking about? MLB was the founder of grunge...do your homework jack ass...nirvana rocked..but MLB rocked first..and founded the sound....don't talk your shit until you know what you're talking about...

  • actually, queensryche is the first band out of seattle, although not known as "grunge" they were the first post pop rock band out of the area.

  • Listen book boy.... PAY Attention to the harmony and music.. Queensryche had a couple of "generic" Tunes.. They werent anywhere near as musically gifted as ANDY WOOD...

  • MLB is a great band, but aren't the first out of seattle, are you a musician? Geoff Tate is not generic, I never compared the two bands talent wise, only who became famous in seatle first, fuck you.

  • Go fuck your mother...After I'm done with her of course.. I'll leave a little something for ya!........But not much....

  • you must be about 3 yrs old, and about as brilliant as a broken light bulb, go suck your dad off again you redneck trailer trash messiah

  • Good one! Where are you from? WV, we dont do stuff like that north of the Mason.

  • Andrew Wood was the inventor of Seattle grunge...Period... Anyone says different.. they need to read a book.. Couldn't agree with you more sir...... MLB I think was better than the Beatles...

  • Holy shit I read your comment and thought I wrote it until I saw it was your's... VERY nicely put, couldn't agree more.. This Rodney is a superdouche!

  • they are really good.... but NIRVANA is still Nr1

  • Nice. Should of been the equivalent of Nirvana. if only, if only, if only.

  • que sensacion mas gratificante al escuchar este tema...

es volver a un tiempo atras ..

    adios andrew...

lo mejor.......que belleza ..musica con sentimiento

  • Comment removed

  • OOPS! Damn typo's....:)

  • Holy shit! I was just watching "Say Anything" with John Cusack from 1989...this song is playing in the beginning of the movie. Anyway, my point being that this was at least 2 years before Nirvana and grunge took over the world. Yes, Mother Love Bonye was way ahead of the times, and ver, very underrated! I LOVE this song....goosebumps!!!!!

  • Credit Cameron Crowe.

  • Wow...very monumental and sad :/

    Very nice work.

  • my names Chloe and my dads called Andrew!

  • this song is so beautiful, it makes me wanna cry... greatest song ever.

  • me too

  • I am 15 - Also born 20 years too late R.I.P. Wood...

  • same for me im 14...

  • well you found some good music, you decided to go around all today's shitty music, and found mlb good for you.

  • love em so much, such a fuckin awsome band, uhh wish they were still around

  • Wow the Black Crowes ripped off Mother Love Bone. RIP Andy. And thank god Jeff and Stone are still with us.

  • Not even! I am a huge Crowes fan. There are similarities but Chris Robinson is Chris Robinson. Not to take anything away from Andy Wood, God Bless him! I was surprised to find this track in the movie Say Anything before Singles. Really, check it out!

  • There both great. sorry I was drunk and thinking too much

  • fckrocknroll

    rename the song.....

it's is chloe dancer/crown of thorns

  • Love this song reminds me of a friend miss you Anton

  • rip andy. love u.

  • one of my favorites. rip andy.

  • this song always makes me so sad. Such a wasted potential in Andy Wood. The early 90's, to me, weren't the Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, and all of the other songs that were played at school dances. Songs like this, for me, summed up the best of the 90's.

  • used to have this album.. Real ROCK-N-ROLL!

  • Amazing song!! First heard Motherlovebone in 1993ish.

They were so good, it's a shame it ended so soon.

  • much far better that axel rose

    poor him

    RIP ANDY

  • I was named after this song...
