The vocals scream insanity. Nattramn is one of a kind...as an individual and as a BM Vocalist. The only thing that is true and proven about the guy is that he spent many years in an institution. The axe thing is false- His brother actually did that, not him {Look it the fuck up}. They are both off and have been. Nattramns not dead He wrote a book, Titled :PIG'S HEART although, spelled in Swedish. That was pretty recent actually. So to all of you who bought the rumor- HE IS ALIVE AND WELL.

If you remember, many people in Black Metal are/were mentally ill or at least not what you would call 'normal'. Despite the fact that I don't think something like insanity exists as such, Black Metal is not for the so-called sane. Murder, church burning, suicide, self-destruction, etc, etc... that's nothing one would call 'sane'. And the music is neither.
No, he is still alive. Rumons says the band (Silencer) split up supposedly because Nattramn was institutionalized, but he is back now with an industrial/dark ambient project called "Diagnose:Lebensgefahr".

Well, Jonas Mattson has usually been handling the guitar or vocal duties with other bands. If you compare the drums on the demoversion and the album version, you can hear a certain difference with the touch on the drum playing. There are, for instance, some snare strokes and fills that do not sound that solid, and you can hear that this guy doesn't regularly play drums in a band. But the over all feel and the arrangement is so fucking amazing, that those slight inperfections really don't matter!

Actually I think the session drummer on the 1998 promo was Jonas Mattson from the band Nominon.
