  • the explotation is extreem the crminals in bussness adds programming cotroll and are prtected by the law the victims are condemed

  • Just because some move on to these drugs. Doesn't mean weed has anything to do with it

  • Nic is so fucking sexy.

  • you know, i truly don't think pot is bad at all. I mean, i don'tthink other drugs are good at all, but schools and authority tell you that pot will ruin your life, but I know plenty of well-managed people that do it

  • He looks like the guy version of Lady Gaga.

  • @ddevlyn Bro, if you read his book, he does write that he wanted to become a self supporting author, to break it down, it means he wants to make money from his books. So yea, he makes money and he helps people all doing something he loves. That's not a something to bash him over. Pretty sure that's a common goal among almost everyone. And to bash on kids over finding something in him to admire? Sad as hell.

  • i think the reason his teeth are still nice is because he shot the meth instead of smoking it

  • I just finished Nic's book, "Tweak" today and I'm so happy for him :)

  • Nic has got to be the hottest recovered meth addict I've ever seen... I'm not sure what is more attractive about him, his looks, or his will power and strength it took to get him through this. His writing is extrememly good too.

  • blood shot eyes

    trouble in school

    negative attitude

    angry, and sad..

I'm already all of those, and I've never done any kind of drug in my life. :/

  • Omg, Beautiful Boy was an amazing book. I almost cried reading that book, i usually don't like reading, but this book was AMAZING! I really would like to know if he wrote any other good books like this one?

  • I liked both books, but Beautiful Boy was definitely the better one. Tweak tries to pull off this ambiguous front, but it feels a lot like it's glorifying Nic's use. Nic is definitely full of shit to an extent. But so are all addicts, myself included.

  • I have both books and I want to read them. Just not sure I want to go to that dark place. I know they both end in a good way, though.

  • It's official..Who -here- goes on about people they have never met, with such bitternes and crazy certainty? What kind of non SOBER individual talks about others in such a mean, dishonest way without even giving them the benefit of the doubt, and/or knowing them? Only a rambling, angry stranger, not in their right mind.. Don't waste life's precious time arguing with strangers who pretend to know others they don't know..This story is about, by God's grace, SOBRIETY..

  • whoooaaaahhh guys, chill.

I think that both david and nic sheff's books were really great.

  • thats right u got nothing to say to that cuz ur a BITCH

  • wtf is wrong with you? hitler and those terrorist deserve to rot in hell for eternity. and im not jobless. you don't even know my life. you call me a skank you say im jobless you think i need therapy blah blah blah blah blah. you dont even fucking know me

  • a classic exmple of shit parenting, where i am so sick of hearing.."I'm my kid's best friend"..and we are all supposed to coo..'wow how hip'. I HOPE these 2 self promoting tossers are donating the profits..what's the bet you bleeding hearts are paying for their new matching father and son BMW's?

  • stop talking! please! you people are awful! You don't know ANYTHING

  • you are the one whom doesn't know anything Pony. I hope some drug induced loser breaks into your house, knocks your mother over in the street to steal her bag, or sucks your father off for cash. All cos this idiot is an attention seeking loser. (actually you do get points for grammar..i'm suprised a fool like you didn't say ' we don't know nothing').

  • fuck you, seriously fuck you. Nic and his dad are sharing their stories to inspire those struggling with addiction to seek help and to encourage addicts and those who love them to reach out. I bet you've never had to deal with the hell of addiction. Fuck you for saying all they want is money they want to suppoprt others.

to anyone who is struggling with the hell of addiction there is support out there.

  • fuck yourself misfit...you are part of this generation of blame shifter...weak minded people like you and the shefs are destroying america..if they are doing it to help others LETS SEE WHERE THE PROFIT GO!

  • no fuck you. like nic and david really wrote the book JUST because they wanted money. wrong. they aren't sellouts. close-minded people like you are destroying america. Im part of a generation that believes in standing up for whats right. we're gonna pay for the horrible debt that YOUR generation caused america. You're missing the whole point of these novels. They're telling their stories to give the tons of people out there struggling with addiction something to relate to. fuck you

  • fuck you...skank..and how do u know whoch generation I belong to u dumb fuck..plus i dont even live in america thank god u skid mark. require more of yourself u fukn tweaker..get a job and make a contribution...weak weak WEAK!

  • wow that was a pathetic attempt at a comeback. bitch if i wanted a cumback i'd wipe it off ur chin. who the fuck are you to call me a skank. and i never said that I was on drugs so fuck you. and what do you contribute to society exactly? besides arguing with people in the youtube comments of a video of a person that you dont even like. fuck you nic sheff is awesome.

  • haha read your own comeback you piece of dirt...u r the one whom started arguing..i bet your parents hate u..and how bored are u that u r the spokes person for a druggie...no wonder the world HATES america..don't go squealling after your next September 11...we are over it!

  • piece of dirt. wow thats the best u got? i was simply defending my opinion. i dont condone drugs. i think everyone deserves a second chance and i support those who have to watch their loved ones deal with this horrible disease. go crawl back to whatever hell hole u came out of you pathetic piece of shit.

  • yeah hitler prob deserved a seciond chance..or the terrorists who attacked you pathetic hated nation. i travel the world with my work..when u get a job come back to me...oh and how sad that u have to suck up queenie little nic's arse..cos u know the only people that could like u are people with issues..get to a shrink NOW

  • @ddevlyn u need to seriously calm down. i suppot misfitspunk on this one. i doubt the sheffs are doing this f0r money. if they only did this for money? why the fuck wud nic speak at schools and things to warn kids about addiction? people like u have no fucking faith in humanity. run off and die, wastoid.

  • Ddevlyn.

You have a bit of growing up to do.

Your opinions are extremely stereotypical, and you criticize others as if they are below you for being from a different country.

If you are so superior, then do something about what these people say rather than being an anonymous ignoramus on youtube comments..

The world doesn't care what you have to say, nor do they care about your opinions.

Learn to use proper grammar rather than saying "u r."

I am sorry if this reply offends you,

    but fuck you.

  • I agree parents need to educate their kids about drugs but to first educate themselves about the drugs. Sit down with your kids, tell them the ACTUAL truth about drugs instead of lying to scare them, and prepare them to make their own decisions.

I've done weed, shrooms, salvia and even ecstasy once but I'd never touch anything as bad as heroin or meth.

  • obviously no one educated you..drug use progresses over time, keep gettin high and you'll learn to never say never

  • Never say never is right. Never say that you'll never be able to say no.

You can always say no. Don't think that just because you do some drugs, you'll do all drugs.

What you say is completely incorrect, and a bad mindset.

  • the narrarator lady is rly annoying me

  • acting angy?! bullshit! weed calm u down

  • Keep your kids out of useless schools & they'll be better off.

  • It's hard to Not let your childs problem consume you.

  • pot is legal in the netherlands. the procent of dutch people who use more than once a month pot is 6.7%. in america pot is very illigal. the procent of americans who use pot more than once a month is 14%. can you see de difference. legal pot does lowers the users. so make pot legal in the usa

  • "That's why I don't smoke. When I was a kid, my daddy caught me smoking...and he knocked me out! And to this day, I don't smoke. Not because I'm scared of cancer. I don't smoke because I think my dad is going to walk through that door...and knock me the hell out! Knock out your kids. It helps." (Chris Rock, Head of the State)

  • The problem is parents don't disciple their kids soon enough. When they're 10 years old, it's too late! Start the day they are born!!! Don't be nice! You're not their friend, you're their parents. Never make excuses because you don't have time for them or that it's just a phase they're going through.

  • People with hardass, disciplining, strict, authoritarian parents are just as likely if not MORE likely to become addicted to pleasure-giving chemicals and altering their baseline consciousness levels through external means.

  • Tweak was such a good book.

  • Nic Sheff is my hero. Looking at how gorgeous he is i find it hard to comprehend all the stuff he went through.I read tweak in like 2 days and it really changed my point of view on drug addiction & his writing really makes you feel and understand whats really going on in his mind. You almost feel like you actualy no him. I never cry in books, but in tweak i cried so much. It was like a wakeup call. I would really like to meet him & david & i wanna know who Zelda is in real life haha. Nics hot !

  • Great story.. but one thing.. at age 10, you can educate.. but it may not make a difference. Marijuana is no more of a gateway to substance abuse than alcohol or tobacco.. that has been my experience. Alcohol and Tobacco were my gateways.

  • Nic and David are both so brave to be going on tours for their books. I really have to give Kudos to both of them, and i kinda hope one of them reads these comments, to see how inspired people are after reading thier books, or seeing them in various places.

  • Just a week or so ago, my daughter Daisy and I saw both David and Nic Sheff give a talk at UCLA. It was more than amazing; it was inspirational. At the time, I had not read either book, but in the week that followed, I've read both. All I can say is that my life has been changed for the better. Their honest, heart-wrenching accounts of this hellish oddyssey will stay with me forever.

If you haven't read the books, you must. Soon. Both signed the books for us and exuded such warmth.

  • nic looks pretty much exactly how i imagined him, but with alot more hair. he's adorable yeah, and it's really amazing to feel like i already know him. his writing is so honest, he really has nothing to hide and i respect him for that. he's a good person, and so is his dad.

  • i totally agree. :]

  • wot to get high ?

  • nic your an inspiration!

  • he's cuuuutttteeee.

  • i just read 'tweak' and it was so painfuk to read. but you do get attached to nic and his life. you understand whats hes going through and hes like my hero now. cause he WANTED to get better. thats pretty amazing!

  • You can never say my child would never take drugs. Even after having numerous discussion to Say no to drugs, educating them at home and school. Their friends seem to have more influence on them. You raise them in a good environment, but once they leave your house, their friends seem to persuade them it is ok. Dont give up on your child, stay on them

  • word.

    bahaha.

tweak was inspirational and i just love it.

  • YOUR MY HERO ,

    iLOVEYOU &

    YOUR BOOK <3

  • I want to meet Spencer now. And Nic Sheff is AMAZING

  • I imagined him looking like a lil white boy gangster. Idk why. He's hot tho.

  • i cannot stand Nacy's voice. she sounds like she's reading from a childrens book. it's terrible.

Tweak was an amazing book. it reminded me a lot of Impulse, Crank, and Glass. but Nic is nothing like how i pictured him. haha.

  • "Tweak" was an amazing and inspirational book.

  • Tweak was a VERY good book. I kinda wish Nic woulda talked about Zelda and Spencer, though, in the interveiw.

  • oh so thats what he looks like

  • they both quote john lennon at the begining of thier books

    its kool great books

  • this is like the only book that ever made me cry

i loved it and felt i could relate to it so much

and i agree with whoever said it earlier

drug education doesn't work worth a shit

  • newsweek published an article written by nic in 1999 he was 16 at that time and when he wrote it he didnt mention a thing about drugs all he talked about was the separation between his parents. my classmates didnt know it was from so long ago and then my teacher gave us another article based on his current life and the books written by him and his father. i was like "woah" and kind of sad because he seemed pretty normal and had a very good talent for writing i hope he and his dad are alright

  • dude. whats with that lady?shes annoying, let nic talk =] haha

  • Nic has great teeth for a former meth addict.

  • @wormword not all meth addicts have messed up teeth...

  • @MajestaBuck Yes, but his teeth look almost perfect. I don't think I've ever seen a meth addict that had that nice teeth. I'm not saying he wasn't a meth addict. I cannot make that call, but for someone that is claiming to be a hardcore meth addict he has great teeth. Maybe they are not real.

  • @wormword omg, I don't know if you've heard, but there are like, these doctors, called dentists, who specialise in teeth =O

  • @YukiKyoHaruLover Really??? You dont' say. Where can I find any of these miracle workers.

  • @wormword could be falsies

  • @wormword that's because he took shots instead?

  • I just had a briliant idea!

all we have to do is say

if you use drugs, you'll fuck up your mind.

    and go crazyy. (Y) :D

  • oh stfu!

educating your kids about drugs doesn't do a thing.

    If it did,

    I wouldn't be where I am today.

  • reading twaek now nearly finished. awesome book. very brave nic. x

  • i'm reading tweak right now. i don't know what's wrong with nic. he's totally hot. but he thought he was ugly. kudos to the book so far. its heartbreaking but i love it.

  • wow i thought that nic was black in the book, im still reading it, and im so hooked on it!

but dam seems like he went through alot of shit

  • they say the pot is a gate way drug that is bull shit u only do heavy drugs his book was good but pot is not a gate way drug

  • Firstly, I think he's cute.

He has a different look, but i like it.

And I litterally just finished tweak like two minutes ago.

it scared me but in a good way.

i hate drugs and it just made me hate them more.

And i'm so proud of nic.

    It's amazing.

  • I read both nic and david sheffs book

its great when you read both sides

  • don't know why he is so hard on himself appearance wise.

kudos to tweak, i just finished it, great book.

  • This book is amazing. And wow, he's differen't looking but he's definalely not ugly.

  • i loved nic's book, i want to read his fathers book too. i love how nic shares his story with so many people

  • I think it's wonderful to hear what he has to say. It was great to hear what he said in his book, through his eyes, hear his own words. It's great to see what he went through. I am so motivated to, when I get my own family, keep them from this. I know it was hard for Nic to get sober, but he did. He wanted people to trust him, and when he craved drugs, he just couldn't throw his life away, not again. I respect him so much for that. I think he has done a great job and I know he'll keep it up.

  • nancy shute's voice is so annoying

twek is so powerful it makes you think

it makes you stop or wanna stop if you do even things like pot

  • The two books side by side just affected me so much. No words. I am happy that the 'end' of these stories turned out to be so hopeful and I can only wish them the very best. They both seem to be incredible individuals.

  • I love how people randomly go from how inspirational Nic is to how Cute he is. Nice job fitting the subtly in. Awesome, inspirational, overwhelming, well, written, realistic, scary. All those words and more describe this incredible story. If you haven't read it, it's a must read. It was one of the best book I've ever read, I can't wait to read it again.

  • im reading tweak now. its hella good. glad things ended up ok

  • No Nic isn't.

It says in the book 'Tweak' that when he went to Phoenix for treatment, he stopped calling her, etc. as he realised how dangerous their relationship was.

I'm glad it keeps you from drugs. We need all need something and if this is what it is then that's good, as this is so raw and truthful and unglamorous. It's what meth addiction is really like.

  • i read nic's book too, and it really scared me from drugs. I'm 12 years old. Is Nic still with Zelda?

  • Nic after ready your book, wow it changed my perspective in life. You are a hero for quitting!!! I could never even see myself doing it. Your amazing and good looking ;]

  • Both great books!! Happy everything worked out for David & Nic. Stay strong & healthy! Nic U R 2 CUTE!

  • Read the Book "Tweak". It's definitely well-written and worth the time to read.

I also read the first page of "A Beautiful Boy" and that seems great too.

By the way, Nic Sheff is pretty good-looking for the fact that he thinks that he is extremely ugly.

  • I thought the exact same thing! He is really good looking. But i love this book so much my friend is a drug addict and this really made me hope for her.

  • i bought them both. right now i'm half way through tweak. it is so enlightening. craziness.

  • Okay. I finished reading Beautiful Boy today actually, and it was very alerting. I've never had any sense of perspective from someone who's close to an addict. It was so moving, but more importantly, it was very intense in the sense that it can happen to someone you'd least expect. SUch a good read; Inspirational even (although I had all these mixed emotions when I finished it).

  • i'm in the middle of reading nic sheff's book and it's amazing... he perfectly illustrates the true life of a drug addict and all the struggles he was faced with.

  • Read his fathers book as well. It was an amazing read!

  • I read Nic's book, Tweak. It was really morbid, scary and truthful. That book alonee keeps me from drugs. Thanks for putting this video up =)
