You can find the system os by searching for them on bit torrent sites. Just search for a good bittorrent meta search engine, and then for an Amiga kickstart rom image. 1.3 is for the classic, 3.0 for AGA machines (A1200, 4000).

I don't need the joystick to enjoy my Amiga games, I've got an Amiga 500, and Quickshot 2, so I know what I'm talking about. If you don't own an Amiga, go and buy one now. If you can find one.

ok download win uae download win kickstart roms (torrent) add kickstart rom 13 to the rom bit in win uae go to emuparadise or or some site download your rom then add it too the floppy drive press start and ya good to go ya might also want to change the controller setting im not very clever at em either at the mo but where theres a will theres a way lol

Wow, that was quick, thanks. I think I've got all the software and I've downloaded an alien breed game. When I try to run it a message comes up about needing a floppy disc image!!! I think I may have other issues but can we start with that one. I do appreciate your time, thanks again.

Follow this guide:

The most common problem is in the "paths" menu.

In this menu you have to choose the downloaded system ROM file, in the "system ROMS" menu - and THEN go to the "ROM" menu and in the "main ROM file " box, choose KS ROM v1.3.

The games you´ve downloadet (like Alien Breed) is images of Amiga floppy discs. So be sure you have ALL the discs (1/3, 2/3, 3/3 and so on....)

In WINUAE you have to choose EACH of theese gamediscs in the floppy drives menu OR use the quickstart menu.

during the game you can always press F12 to go back to the menu and change discs and so on....

i downloaded as a winrar ... then u want me to start winUAE ... it got me some kind of an error to check system roms. so now it poped with a new window (winUAE properties) now what? i go to Hardware >>> ROM >>> then change main ROM files to the winrar wthout extracting it? please help! thanks :D

i had this on my old 32 bit system and it worked a treat (sapped a lot of memory tho!) had a neo geo one too which was top. will this run on a 64 bit system?

The emulator works fine, but maybe you don't have the ROM files you need. Someone is clutching onto the copyright of them, so you can't get them legally (although, if you want to do it illegally you can just download them from the net) unless you get it from the Amiga you own.

Compared to contemporary computers the graphics on Amiga 500 was crap - but that dosen´t matter to me. It bring me back to the old days.

Click the "Game & I/O ports" menu

and choose the settings you want in port 0 and 1.

It´s made like the original amiga, so the mouseport is port 0 and the joystick port is port 1.

If you use a keyboard get the settings you want at port 1......ps. If you get a joystick, the experience will be MUCH more like playing Amiga 500.
