  • Can someone tell me if "Schoolgirl" is on You Tube ..can't find it. Loved that one.

  • I haven't heard this song in ages! I don't ever remember watching the video, but I do remember it had plenty of airtime. I didn't even know they were Canucks. We have so much talent. Canada rocks!!!!!

  • Ironic that the Police's first hit was Landlord? Nice cover band though.

  • The Tenant's and the Spoons both were underrated and virtually unknown to most. If it weren't for a tv show called MV3(a'la American Bandstand for New Wave kids) that came on the Tele in Detroit I never would have heard of either.

  • Can someone please upload this to grooveshark? I've always loved this song and want it on my playlist...

  • It wasnt talent that stopped them --- it was a disagreement between members... It happens to everyone... just some disputes are solved.... would be so nice to see them together again.

  • I always thought this song was by The Police!

  • @terryberry48 alot of people thought that.....including me.....i think i find out about 5 or 6 years ago ..... Definately a one hit wonder, i've heard their other stuff and it sucks compared to this song.

  • @quincee33 I know I looked for other songs too, and they weren't that good:)

  • It sounds just like the Police, this group. Even the way the guy sings is just like Sting.

  • Speaking of Canadian One Hit wonders ... does anyone have Into the Night by Big Bang?

  • The song reminds me of the time I was evicted from my place in Nantucket. Sheriff Bretschneider evicted me. The landlord was a corrupt POS. I guess paying for rent with what little money I did make didn't appeal to the landlord.

  • I tried adding "How do you sleep at night? " on here, dont know if it worked, I'm not that Youtube or computer litterate :S

  • This album is available at the torrent site TPB.

  • I still have "How do you sleep at night?" on a cassette somewhere. Maybe if I can figure out how to get it on a computer I'll post it.

  • i had or have 2 cassettes by these guys. another good single is ,something else.

  • I can't believe during the 80's there were so many GREAT canadian artists or bands and now look.. hardly any.. sad sad world

  • great Canadian 1 hit wonders.

  • Sony does not have this album as an available title anymore. I hate doing this but...

search for this title at your favorite "sites" Rare_Hits_of_The_80s_Vol._18

  • seen these guys in 1984 with rough trade awesome still love it

  • i remember hearing this on a radio falling asleep as a kid and love it its friggin awesome

  • e-bay has the album its great

  • OK, this is a catchy song, but does anyone else see it as a blantant knock-off of pretty much anything written by the Police? From the shored, chorus-infused Andy-Summers-esque guitar playing to the Sting-esque "eeeaaaoooo"s during the chorus. There is no question who their influence is...

  • hey man, don't complain, anything that sounds like The Police is a compliment... but ya yur totally right....still, this song always puts me in a good mood.

  • of course you're right, anyone who knows their music would confer

  • The Tenants' album does share similar melody and style with the Police. But I think they just happened to think alike, musically. The Tenants' debut album came out in 1982, prior to of the Police's 1983 album Syncronicity. I remember first hearing the Tenants on the radio. And although some, back then, thought they sounded like the Police, that never occured to me. I just thought the Tenants had a new wave, unrefined edge. The Police, to me, were a well produced superband... lol.

  • Great melody a la "Echo Beach" along the A minor G major chord progression. I love this song and I love putting in fills and solos for hours and hours.I had forgotten this song for almost 25 years until this posting.I love 80's melodic pop and rock.

  • i found a cooler song than echo beach by martha and the muffins ...... "swimming" by M + M is really cool but no vid on youtube

  • Thanks for the info.I'll keep you posted

  • mmmmm strange tennants...............police? I see what you are sayin, but not the same sir!!!
