Couldnt agree with you. I was surprised and happy

with my decision. I tried everything to cure my

tinnitus. There are so many shams out there for

treating tinnitus. I also tried taking pills but what

it gave me was a side effects. Finally I found this:

    StopTinnitusToday.info

    I almost didnt gave it a shot.Boy Im glad I did. I

got results by following the ebook program.

  • Aided vs unaided for proving speech discrimination ability is rediculous. It can make unaudible sounds audible but not clearer. Show one article were a hearing aid makes sound clearer. One that is not published by a hearing aid company or funded by such.

  • Are you kidding! This is just not true! No matter what kind of sound equilization/filtering is done you cannot change clearness through a damaged cochlea. Digital or analog hearing aids both amplify, they do not clarify. Please teach your students reality and not fantacy. They should know better if they are truly the "best and brightest" or are they just hearing aid dealers with a title???? Sure go ahead and remove this comment. The truth can hurt.

  • My daughter who is 7 wears a hearing aid that has the custom mold . What is the benefits of this one over that. Do these work with standard fm units.

  • Some good info here.

  • Awesome! Great video

  • Why not tell people that even "digital" hearing aids do not help with speech understanding! If the amplified sound passes through a damaged cochlear it doesn't matter how you manipulate the digitial signal processing or filters. This flick is misleading and no better than a typical ad from Beltone..

  • @hansenda8184

Any aided vs unaided speech test will show you that for most hearing imapred people, hearing aids do improve speech intelligibility. The cochlea would have to be pretty severely damaged for there to be no benefit.

  • She has really cute ears..I wear a hearing aid in my right ear after acquiring permanent hearing loss from many ear infections. Weird my left ear is totally normal but its not Meineres disease

  • What I am interested in knowing is that essentially a "hearing aid" is basically a mini amplifier funneling sound directly into your ear wouldnt using it over time actually worsen hearing like having an iPod headset on all the time?? just curious if the analogy fits?

  • @KevinCarey

Not quite. While it is possible for hearing aids to cause further hearing loss, when fitting hearing aid, any good audiologist will select a maximum output level so that the hearing aids don't amplify enough to cause a sound-induced hearing damage, even over time.

  • Affordable hearing is only a click away at Walmart. I saved thousands of dollars compared to the first pair I purchased from my audiologist !!!!!!!

  • I find it ironic that this video doesnt have subtitles

  • Might check hearsource website they have open fit hearing aids that you program yourself with your own computer. They provide the hearing aids, hearing aid programmer and hearing aid software. Its pretty amazing how far hearing aid have come in technology.

  • Very good video!

  • digitals are way overrated, they're only designed for communication, backround noises sound weird in digitals, bird chirps and women with high tone voice sound robot like and the cars sound like jets or airplanes, it affects your awareness alot like your unable to hear people walking up behind, knocking on your door, lower sound effects and music backround in movies or tv shows, unable to enjoy listening to music, digitals are over hyped, analogs gives more natural hearing.

  • @texican512

You probably just say that because you are used to analog aids. Anyone who started out on digital and then attempted to transition to analog would probably say the same about analog aids.

  • I was half deaf one ear has a hearing and one was completly deaf and I have been like that all my life but now I got a cochlear implant and I hear just like any other human being now I'm a muscian

  • she has the hearing aids that i am getting today. i might finally hear my sister first time instead of asking her to repeat what she said. :-)

  • really enjoyed your video,

there is another great video on hearing aid and FM system, just type in prestonchao in the youtube search box

  • on my left ear my hearing is 90 dB, something about nerve weakness(?),,,sucks.. i know...the good thing is that my other ear is 10dB...and thats weird..i mean 10dB vs 90dB??!!! crazyyyy!

so i actually came to terms with it and i want to buy some aids...should i get a BTE? i really dont want a BTE to tell you the truth, will "inside aids" work with my problem?

  • @VickyLovesTv : My situation is similar to you so i has the same quesion. What kind of hearing aid should i use?

  • @cxmyes a few weeks ago i bought a resound live power bte...my doctor recommended these...i still think that there is no sound coming in, but she says its normal..so.. to be honest, after a few uses, you feel like there is nothing in your ear..

  • i want to point out this video is really, really loud

  • why the need of digital hearing aids?

cuzz digital sound is limmited in frequencies and sounds flat, unlike annalogue natural sound,

my mother also feels like if i will ever use digital aids,

but no i don,t believe my ears are damage and if so, all i want is a future upcoming surgery wich could reveave the lost hearing back.

    i cut,nt see why a surgery is not possible????/

  • There is NO best trade or model since everyone's hearing loss is different and the age onset is different. And digital and analog hearing aids are DIFFERENT. I prefer the analog so I have Oitcon.

  • i've got 70% loss in left ear and 68% in right ear so yeah.. any tips for me ( i dont want to wear them at school). I will get bullied

  • Comment removed

  • i have 2 normal hearing aids and love it,,,

i dont like digital hearing aids because of different sound

  • Hi! I'm from Germany and I'm learning the job of a hearing aid audiologist.

For the people who want to get hearing aids: Just go to a hearing aid audiologist. You just will have problems with the hearing aid if you get it from eBay or other sites...

The first problem would be that the h.a. isn't matched with your hearing loss and you won't be able to program it, because you haven't the right software and I think you don't exactly know how much amplification you need on which frequences...

  • Programs for private use are already on the web - and for free - and even more sophisticated than the "audiologist ones. They´re just a mythical branch who want to make too much money with haring aids that aren´t even worth 50 $.

  • Unless you cna get the digital aid programmed for you dont buy from ebay. these aids need and must be programmed to your prescription

  • I myself have a 65% hearing loss in my right ear and a 55% in my left. I depend on my hearing aids to get me through the day; I thank God for them. People dont' realize how hard it is to be hard of hearing, to wake up in the morning not being able to hear clearly; to have to turn up the TV volume to MAX and still can't hear. It's a blessing that hearing aids were invented.

  • Excuse me Madam. Which one do you use? Which trademake? Can you recommend something?

    I´ll grateful you. Thank you.

  • If do you live in U.S.A. Go to a Sears Store to the Hearing Aid Department, they have the best, for you . If not, I'll recommend a Hearing aid of German Trade. Those are the best !!!. Good Look !!!.

  • hello i from spain i deaff

  • Hello.can you inform me where I can bay a hearing aid for adult?

  • buy

  • Thank you for this! I'm getting hearing aids soon and it helps to know what's available.

  • i wear hearing aids!

  • I wear a BTE and I don't even like it. its gets old and sometime my ears needs to breathe.

What else are they going to come up with?

Good for the girl that she is happy with her outcome. GOOD for her.

  • yea, same with me, I'm 21 yrs old and I have to wear them everyday but if I want to listen to my mp3 player, I have to take it off just to do that when I go to school. I usually have troubles with them sometimes so I just have my interputer to fix it for me, just love my intrputer.

  • i had ear surgery and have a hearing aid... nobody even notices

  • I wear behind the ear hearing aids, and they're not actually so bad, i forgot my decibel loss, all i know is that i'm mild deaf, and mine really helps me alot, the bad thing is that it makes my ear sore if i wear them all day everyday. <3

  • yea me too. im 15 and wear them. i have a deformed bone in my ear. but u kno wat reallt sucks? i got pushed in a pool today with them in. now i cant hear cuz theyre broke

  • well i guess im almost in the same boat as you guys. I just had Audio trauma to my ear. 2 days ago and my ear feels muffled and kind of a small perssure. i also hear a small ring.. I think i may have damaged it pretty good =,( Im going in tomarrow to have it checked out :( wish me luck!

  • Im hard of hearing from a bone and nerve loss when I was born. I have worn hearing aids my entire life. It sounds like you have an ear infection, never fun. but relatively easy to take care of. they just flush your canal out and give you some antibiotics. Let me know what happens.

  • remove the battery, leave it to dry for a few days. Change filters and hook, and they might be fine.

    Worth a try.

  • R u wearing the digital behind the ear hearing aids? If u r I believe they r only 4 ppl that r having problems with the hairs in there cochlear.

  • 30dB not too bad - These aids are on sale on ebay at 80% off

  • I had a hearing test and my test results were 30 desibles is that bad?
