Why the thumbsdown!? You can see it in the video! Most games has this thing where the boss's attacks don't hurt his mooks, but not in this case! He shoots through his crewmen just to hit Mario!

You can use the cannon on the first ship to go directly to the third ship. Aim to the left to see it. It saves time.
