great design... wish it was affordable. I purchased a Modular GP MED Tent for long term high desert use, and setting up a GP Med by yourself is an "adventure"
hahah only the americans can be this lazy hahah, ow my hat, seriously thats useless, hell on wheels agree haha, seriously, but I would like to know aswell can it stop a Bullet ?... NO hahaha classic stuff
interesting concept, but I would not have the money to buy a tent like that. The 4 minute setup cannot justify the price and durability of a standard design unless you canm show LONG TERM testing.
Exactly.....I did 99 percent of the repairs to a tank for 3 years with a pair of pliers and a hammer.....Funny how the govt will spend 4 million on a tank but not a couple of thousand for a decent set of tools to go with it....
@trhisdone The fact is that tools walk. It has always been like this. Or they get carelessly lost in the brush. I worked the tools my whole working life. What has to be realized is the individual has to supply his own tools. You buy the tools with your own money, and keep them to yourself, never loaning them out.
if it isnt puncture proof it is as good as useless. I have yet to see a product made to last on earth. The manafactures could make stuff indestructible but won't as people wouldn't buy new stuff then. I'm through with their game
There is an indestructible home on the market but banks will not finance them and I say it is economic it would destroy the disaster industry, insurance companies would have a time trying to get people to buy anything other than flood insurance. Consuming les energy the infrastructure would have to cut back production. Monolithic domes are the answer we can build our own but I am disabled and that would be very difficult for me not impossible.
Nothing is completely indestructible. I'm not doubting that things could be made better. But NOTHING no matter how well designed will last forever unless maintained constantly and properly. Even the cheaply made shit we have now would last a whole hell of a lot longer if people knew how to take care of it.
Sure there is a degree of maintence to any structure I want you to consider the demise of most homes. Termite, rot, water damage, fire, lightnening strike, foundation shift, wind damage, flood. Most of these are solved having a concrete structure, if you wish to stave off floods elevate a concrete struture can take the stress especially a structure that is shaped like an egg that doesn't resist the wind but allows it to flow over the home. Domes use 1/3 the energy is affordable quick to build.
As for the concrete dome there is an example of one that has stood since the time of the Romans.
You can realistically expect a MDI dome home to last hundreds of years.
They have video of a MDI mosque built in Iraq that had a 500lb bomb dropped through the top of it the interior was destroyed but the dome structure stood repair the hole in the roof and remodel it is liveable.
Any other place would have burned to the ground after being blown up like that.
