  • I love the 26th NC Regimental Band . The original band is from my home town of Salem (Winston-Salem ) NC. I love the Moravian Brass bands so much. the sound is so touching.

  • Anybody know the name of the piece?

  • I CAN'T believe those guys in that group were able to produce that sound / tone quality out there. Especially with a camcorder. Is this for real???????? If it is.... HOLY CRAP they are good!

  • I used a Sony HD Digital camera. Nothing special.

  • I am VERY impressed with their sound then. If it was that good on a camcorder then in person, I would probably be in tears. THANK YOU for capturing that. I'm a brass musician and LOVE good brass.

  • It was a really great experience to be there for the 145th Anniversary. I plan on being there for the 150th. Being there and walking through the Confederate camps felt like I was in a time machine and had gone back in time.

  • I am in the Infantry portion of the 26th NC. And May I say, the great week(end) was made better by Mister Jari V. and his band

  • 12th VA Here. My first full fledged reenactment, most definitely well worth it. Love the video too :)

  • i fell in with the 26th.... im from the 17th mississippi though

  • If anyone from the band sees this I just want to convey my sincere appreciation for y'all playing in the camp nights with us. We heard ya and it was sublime.

  • I tried to keep others out of the video and focus on the band. It didn't take much to imagine myself back to that time.

Just to let you know the 26th NC band has seen this and we appreciate your kind words!

  • The 26th North Carolina Band playing Fairest Lord Jesus. The original band from Salem was made up of Moravian musicians..

  • Thank you for the comment. I had never been to such a large event and just wandered around in the infantry camp. I can hardly wait for the 150th celebration.
