  • Doesn,t matter they passed it anyway, then years from now being the great jeffersonian statesmen they are .will say this at least the ones who read the overbloated book .they call law .Mind these are great words, but used often by retired politicans an some old fart Reps. Here goes, this is there great words of wisdom ..ready . WE TOLD YOU SO ..Doesn,t that make it all o.k. .Sometimes when i hear this i feel like setting the assholes hair on fire .When are we going to hold people accountable .

  • lol if they're so oppposed to it then they should give up their medicaid and medicare and social security.

  • rednecks.

  • AMERICANS ARE SO FUCKIN RETARDED

"OUR HEALTHCARE IS JUST FINE"...Thats about the most retarded statement ive ever heard.

It took a COMEDY SHOW,The Daily Show,to get help to the "Heros" of 9/11,a DECADE later.

    What a pathetic country

  • @toobularbells and your country is somehow better?

  • @toobularbells Greetings from America. The 9/11 healthcare bill is just another tyrannical power grab to give our government even more authority to infringe on individuals under suspicion of "terrorism." And stop thinking of people in groups. We're not herds of animals, we're individuals. I don't know what country you're from, but for me to say EVERYONE in your country is retarded would just be stupid and untrue.

  • Is there a link I missed to the town hall meltdown...or was that just it?

  • He doesn't give a shit about what any of you say. He jusst wants to be on the side with all of the control. Control is what obamacare is all about. They get you to depend on it so no one else will come along and let you have your own freedom.

  • lol if small business need to pay for employees benefits.. which some are not doing because they don't make that much profit ... won't they fire an employee to pay for health care which may become mandatory??

  • Specter is one sick SOB.

  • Amazing to see that most of those who outcry the public plan option are older, probably receiving Medicare. Sarah Palin's remark about the "government death board" trying to kill her son with Down syndrome are just too much... If somebody has Down's syndrome, they qualify for Medicare. Medicare takes care of those with dissabilities like Palin's son. I doubt an insurer would give individual insurance coverage to anybody with Down's; unless he/she were part of an immense pool.

  • Very good and sensible point. I can't believe would people would believe that made up death board crap.

  • Palin is a psycho nut-job.

I'm a young family man and I oppose the bill.

Everyone I know opposes it (Dems and Reps) because it's an intrusion, not reform. I've also read the bill and while some of the objections are taken to the extreme they do have a base clause leading to those magnifications. Some are not exaggerated (coverage for illegals for instance)

I have no reason to believe that the Federal government would handle any aspect of health care responsibly, effectively, or inexpensively.

  • Don't let the background noise fool you!!! Republicans and Democrats, CNN and Fox are all the same. Ask who wants to abolish the Federal Reserve that is the key, the rest is a smoke screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are you afraid to voice your disagreement with White House policy, join a rally, use bumper stickers, wear a politically charged t-shirt, for fear of reprisal by government, police, FBI, Homeland Security, etc?" The answer is more often YES. Our government is using FEAR tactics to quiet those that disagree. The White House dissenters are called, racist, fear mongers, mislead, un-American, conspiracy nuts, left wing wako, right wing nut, liberal communist, etc. America certainly has changed!

  • I'm not afraid to say whatever I want. As long as I don't make threats of physical violence, I have nothing to fear. All Obama and Pelosi are asking is that people stop making stuff up, not threatening them! There are no mainstream proposals to create a nationalized heathcare system. None of those proposals would change your coverage under your private insurer. A public option is not nationalized health care! The proposals are deficit neutal. Does everyone forget the deficits created under Bush?

  • It's hard to forget deficits under Bush when they've been almost quadrupled under Obama.

I abhor Bush, but Obama is no different (and I voted for him so don't call me a Republican racist so you can feel secure in your close-minded beliefs)

As far as "making stuff up" and violence goes, you should open your eyes before you make statements about who is making threats and being violent. Those accusations fall much more squarely on supporters of the bill (and they haven't even read it)

  • I wasn't accusing anyone of being violent or making threats of violence. I was simply responding to fjchandler's post about fear of voicing opposition. So long as someone is not making threats of violence, they have every right to say whatever they want.

Keep in mind a stimulus package would very likely have been passed under McCain too.

I don't think I have close minded beliefs based on my previous post.

  • I was primarily responding to this:

"All Obama and Pelosi are asking is that people stop making stuff up, not threatening them!"

It seemed to me that you were of the belief that ONLY Pelosi/Obama were requesting an end to such behavior, when that behavior is occurring on all sides, and mostly from supporters of the bill. That struck me as close-minded.

I know McCain would have done the same, but he would have crumbled at some point along the way and people would have been much more skeptical.

  • I don't think they're the only ones and I didn't mean to say they're the only ones making such comments. I only mentioned them because people at Specter's town hall kept mentioning them.

  • That's cool.

I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions.

  • I understand and hear your position. However, I have to tell you I lived in S.F. and the politcal party was the most violent I've ever seen. But this is not the issue, red or blue. Please be more indulgent in understanding the real issues. It's not health care reform, it's the fine print in the bill. It's not the dems or rep., it's ALL the politicians that high jack our system. It's not working itls broke.LET THE PEOPLE BE THE VOTE, NOT CONGRESS IN TODAYS WORLD.

  • sounds more like the right is using fear tactics to kill health care reform and keep it business as usual for the hmos. how is anyone going to afford health care in a few years?

  • Who cares about health care when if you Abolish Social Security,Medicare,Medicade,Free Emergency Care,Welfare. Any Socialized services then I will not have to pay any taxes and then can afford the High cost of owing my own health care expenses. More power to the uninformed. She is My hero!!!!!!!

  • armed services, police departments, fire departments, the courts, public schools, etc... you'll still be paying taxes, and 50% of your wages for health care. congratulations, genius

  • Guess what my insurance premiums have gone up 500% in 7 years!!!! with far less coverage. Well I guess it's time to retire and escape the Rat Race. Oops I forgot about real estate taxes auto insurance. there's no end to it!!!!!!!

  • so what's your point then?

  • I guess I have to say it again

    There's no End!!!! Period!@#$%

  • so youre stuck in the rat race, is what youre saying? it'd be like that whether the government took over health care or not. it's called life!

  • Armed Services (of which I have extensively served) are an acceptable expense in todays world. What is not acceptable is the lack of transparency in funding.

Police, Fire, State Court Systems, and Public Schools are state run entities, that draw their taxation on their own cizinship, and not that of neighboring states to be dispersed abroad.

This is the second time I have seen an obvious liberal attempt to quantify this outrageous health bill via false parallel.

  • Thank you for your service. This straw man argument is the best one I've seen from the liberal leg-humpers. Torturing the truth to shill for statist agendas is mother's milk to liberal trolls everywhere.

  • @45CaliberCure What is it with the American people, Do we really think that todays politicans are going to fix the problems. we must be not only be a sleep but in a coma .or just plain tupid .Famous Quote you can,t solve problems by using the same type of thinking, that created the problems to begin with . end Quote .but we just keep following along , wave the flag behind our canidate say God bless him and America our saviour is here .etc, Politics Big money and BS chicken in every pot .humm..

  • People need to take a chill pill, sweet Jesus they think its Armageddon .. its not

  • actually its financial armageddon and it's already generations deep. the deficit spending has got to stop.

  • yes it is ;)

  • @neogigo: Those who know their history know that an some type of armageddon is -allways- the reaction when politician, like Obama, is forcing anti-capitalistic and self-contradictionary rules upon its people. Policies which are implemented into your gov. is EXACTLY the reason the founders crated your state - U S A.

  • @neogigo REALLY???
