A dob does not have go to. Also they are a real chore to use at high magnification requiring constant re-centering of object at anything over 150X. Also cannot do imaging other than short snapshots

@GeorgefromPiter yes, but not good for astro photo. as its an altaz. As you may sugest though dobson or the celestron gotos are realy good for beginers as polar align can be tedious with kids wanting to just have a look rather than long exposure pics.

@JulianArceoOfficial Those are fine. Usually the smaller the mm of the scope , the more magnification you get.  A barlow is also a great investment to increase the magnification.

The older LXD55 simply was not strong enough to drive this 10" scope. I trust the LXD75 is better. It would need to be. That scope is excellent for visual observing, but it is heavy and the mount can be overloaded.

I was offered an almost new Meade 10 inch for approx. 1500 dollars. But in my country telescopes are expensive. So I thought it was a super deal. : )
