The brain is removed from the body, any movement here on is just pressure in the joints correcting itself the animals. The animal is dead at this point.

He is also removing the gills and "dead man" from the crab. Do you want to eat something called "dead man"? If this crab was eaten in the sea, his nautical predator wouldn't be quite so calculated either. Its quite likely this animal suffered most in captivity and shipping and not in the process shown here.

These things can't live out of the water for long anyway. And you act like the size of something dictates importance. How many roaches, flies, other bugs, etc. have you killed with no ill feelings at all? How many chickens and cows have you consumed? Better read up on how they "nicely" kill those.

If the slaughter house is not following those instant kill laws, they should be shut down. I'm a hunter, a fisherman and completely understand how to kill something instantly for my food and not torture it. I likely know more about farming and humane slaughter than you do.

@hpiguy This animal isn't being tortured, it is more human to remove the brain from the body than to boil it alive. at about 30 seconds, the "shell" is removed, this is also the head. The brain is removed from the body, any movement here on is just pressure in the joints correcting itself the animals. The animal is dead at this point.

@hpiguy While brutal yes, the chef is not torturing the animal. If you were to cook the crab live it takes about three minutes to die, or 30 seconds this way? He is also removing the gills and "dead man" from the crab. Do you want to eat something called "dead man"? If this crab was eaten in the sea, his nautical predator wouldn't be quite so calculated either. Its quite likely this animal suffered most in captivity and shipping and not in the process shown here.
