Shawn white is damn good but damn over rated. People (Including myself) join the "hate" bandwagon only because he is a horrible representative of snowboarding.

Other riders like torstein horgmo, heikki sorsa, travis rice, eddie wall, scott stevens, jake olson-elm, and exavier delerue should be very well recognized by the public due to their intense skills within their riding styles. Halfpipe only makes up maybe 5% of snowboarding

Frankyloon, I agree with you for the most part but Shaun started snowboarding and became amazing at it before he started making money doing so. It's kinda hard to blame him for selling out.
