That's Kevin Cole, he is interviewing them between songs, and reviewing their music. The podcast with this performance of this song and interview (following it) can be found on iTunes
Is this the kind of stuff that's coming out of Seattle now a days? Rock n' roll has been totally castrated. So it's basically guys who look like virgins wearing skinny jeans, and sport stupid cheesy looking mustache to be ironic, and sip latte's. I remember when bands did hard drugs and then came out and would trash their instruments. That was a show. This is a snooze fest.
@grizzlyadms34 Fair enough, you're right. I just have this fear that rock n' roll is totally dead and this makes me very, very bitter. If anyone knows any awesome band in the vain of the stooges or the like let me know... I'm desperate for something without keyboards and has energy.
Though I agree with you on some level, I do love Passion Pit. And you're a total fucking loser for thinking doing drugs makes a band cool. Drugs suck, well hard drugs suck. Weed's not really a drug, n hallucinogens who really cares as long as a person doesn't freak out. Heroin'll ruin your life in a week though, even when you get clean you're never the same, though it's for the better in some ways. N coke n meth'll just make you a sketchy douche.
@btbrotherton I more or less I was simply being facetious about the hard drug comment. However I know I'm not the only one who sees if not a casation then at least a correlation between the two. If you don't believe me than I can simply cite several who unfortunately sacrificed their bodies to the pursuit of the creative nexus i.e Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Sid Vicious, Kurt Cobain, Brian Jones(well, he was murdered but you know that guy did some shit.)
"Chunk fo Change" is such an epic EP. I wish "Manners" sounded more like "Chunk of Change". i know it pretty much a lot of cheesy love songs but that doesn't mean they're not good.
it sucks. I LOVE PASSION PIT. but they are a digital band that is better served listening to their music off a player as oppose to live. It's just a sound they create that is so hard to duplicate live. Especialy the lead singers voice
