On Windows Vista you might have to run the program in Windows Compatibility mode, but try that after moving the file to your desktop first. Also try redownloading it.

Hey yeah I tryed it and it sated exploit failed so I restored it what was it I was doing wrong , I selected the ispw manually but the screen was blank and that all?? I downloaded the 10b3 but it sayed there a new verison so I used the b5 but still got exploit failed???

When putting the device into DFU mode, hold down the home button for the complete 15 seconds.

@dirtysecert100 After you jailbreak, make sure you do not update through iTunes. If you update through iTunes, it will remove your jailbreak. If iTunes releases another major firmware, I'll upload a tutorial on how to jailbreak it as soon as possible. You might want to check out my other videos on how to use Cydia, or some jailbreak tweaks you can download.

@dirtysecert100 Check the right side of your phone. If there is a SIM card slot (it's a small tray with a smaller hole in it) then use GSM. If the right side of your phone is completely smooth with no SIM card slot, then use CDMA.

Since you're using an iPhone 4, download GSM for AT&T, or CDMA for Verizon and Sprint.

1. You downloaded the wrong firmware. It should be iOS 5.0.1. Not 5.0.

2. You may have forgotten the "Select IPSW" step.

Also try launching Cydia and make sure that you install the essential upgrades.

If those don't work, you'll need to run it through Redsn0w again.
