  • You're right though the grass needs work.

  • looks nice, you are better off with darker grass sprites and more like dots of greens instead of actual blades of grass. Either that or tile it a lot more but it will be grainy or ugly and mip mapped so you should use pixel grass instead. The grass at the end of the video looks a lot better, maybe the big grass blades texture is just placeholder. Either way, looks cool man..

  • Yeah our art style is more of a stylised realism than realistic. This means our colours are going to be bright and obvious. We're trying to stay away from the dull, brown realistic look of most of the current AAA games. It will make more sense once everything is in that style, but we basically have no assets made for it yet. Thanks for your feedback.

  • @jakelhybrid While I DO dig it, just a creative crit here - that blades of grass ground texture is very bad looking, that's all. Just the one thing to change and your plan still works like gold I like what you're doin :P Also, maybe to help: Brown is not real, and console brown is only "extending the life of the hardware" do brown first (liberty city) then colour (vice) then extravagance (San) applies to lots of other series, right? IMO you're just in tme for bright colors ;)
