@mrbelmont2000 vorpal is a sword that is the same as criss, but can only go as fast as you can mash. if you have auto-fire on that button, than vorpal is better then crisseagrim

This is actually quite important. That room on the bottom has Jewel Knuckles, and being able to access it very early in the game makes those knuckles the best weapon until much, much later.

Seriously...some of the secrets in castlevania games are so damn hard to find it's mind-boggling. I remember my brother rushing over to me after we had had this game a full TWO YEARS and showing mew this. Couldn't fucking BELIEVE IT.

Still, when you finally figure one of these tricks out you feel like a total badass...

I had a much easier time getting the Crissaegrim when I used the +99 luck cheat code in my second play-through of this game. It only took a few minutes of killing Schmoo enemies.

In my first play-through, it took hours, and I only got it with a couple of the Alucard items, high levels, and two Rings of Arcana. And by that time, I'd already done everything else in the game and beaten it!

Yes, I did this not too long ago...you have to take Alucard over to the room under where the librarian is and perform the super jump a number of times. Periodically, the librarian drops rewards, but it gets harder each time you get something new. You have to keep performing the jump under his chair before Alucard touches the ground, over and over, and he'll eventually drop the second Ring of Arcana. :-) It takes a while, though. Good luck!

That's pretty cool...that once happened to me with the Crissaegrim. I think the third time I killed a Schmoo enemy, it dropped one. I got lucky that time! XD

Yeah the first time I got it, I was just walking through and killing enemies in my path. Probably a minute or so. Then the power went out...

Then it took me roughly 3 hours before I FINALLY got another one.

Ahh, I hate when that happens! But it never fails, right? I was once on the final boss on Super Ghouls and Ghosts, and then the power went out, and I had to redo the whole 4-hour stretch of gameplay again. Very frustrating!

There's actually a faster sword ... It's a rare drop at one of the monsters ... I think it was the Archer...I don't remember the swords name , but it was as fast as you can tap the attack button .. IT'S SICK but a little lower ATK then Crissaegrimm

You can keep your stuff from the beginning of the game if you jut slightly walk in to Deaths room and push back as fast as you can, and you will have your stuff without death taking it away. He will never apear in that room again.

There's more to it than that. First, you need the Max Luck cheat. Then, you need to destroy the small balcony which you get the Pot Roast from just before Death's room. Then you walk in just slightly then walk back out. You then take off everything but the Dragon Helm and the Necklace of J and kill the first two Wargs in the room, but let the third hit you. You'll be sent flying, straight through Death's room. You can't do anything until you've saved at the nearby save point, but it's worth it.

Well, I have the psp updated version, so apperently that didn't work. all I had to do was slightly go into the room death was in and walk out super fast. Then apon re-entering the room he was gone lol! but I wish I had the original ps1 version, it look more easy to cheat in. The psp version won't even let you do the diamond duplication cheat and get infinate money. The game is worth it though. I had the luck cheat also, I just need to know how to get 209% of the game done and any other secrets!

There's the difference. In the PSOne version, you had to do what I said, else Death would still steal all your stuff.

there is a sword that's something like a giant flying blade right? i got it when i was just 10 years old and the sword..well it not too good but it is down-right cool!! when you press the square the giant blade will be flying towards the enemy and then back to you!!

Actually, there is a sword that does that. Actually, it hits 4 times a swing, and can be used once per button press. It is a rare drop from the Schmoo.

actually i found two, the other one is two handed, the one-handed was called crissaegrim (i got two of 'em haha) and the two handed was a samurai sword called yoshitsuna (this is crap, it greatly decreases your armor)

Its funny how the Sword Familiar does way more damage than the crissaegrim when you weild it.

the exact name is Dracula Tunic, and I have found out her together to the Axe Lord Armor and 10 years the minimum Ring Of Arcana does ! if you really want to boast find out to what he corresponds the Silence track and then you will deserve my thanks :)

@electr0n0ir dude that axe lord armor is a piece of cake...You can get it by repeatedly killing the spike ball at the top of the stairs in the haunted chapel

I'm actually pretty good at the game now, it's one of the easiest games i've ever played, actually. The analog stick is way better, feels better and such, but trying to do magic spells with it is hard, but the spells all suck anyway so it's no biggie. Great game still.
