@Andreeeiiii In his book A Jazz Odyssey he says Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer, who recorded Oscar in his home in Villingen, would close his eyes and roll side to side in ecstasy at the sound of Oscar's block chords. I guess that's why you hear more of that on Exclusively For My Friends, recorded by Brunner-Schwer.

i wonder why he left his blockchord solos behind with the time,
exclusively for my friends from '64 had so much block chords in the tunes,
but later he played them so rarely
