Amazing!!! They were a perfect couple but you REALLY have to look at it this way... Shirley loved Lelouch not Zero and Lelouch knew that so he wanted to keep her away from him so she wouldn't be a part of that life. He loved her but he was Zero and that was life he chose.

Kallen ( my fav) loved Zero. She was more of a respected romance and she still didn't completely understand him.

C.C. ended up with him in the end because she embraced both sides and he needed her support in his lifesyle.
