  • do you have natural hair, or do you have a relaxer?

  • @Ladyredz2011 she's natural

  • I LOVE your tutorials! Excellent demonstration! You have beautiful hair! The turquoise scarf and shirt with the eye shadow giril I love that look

  • I LOVE your tutorials! Excellent demonstration! You have beautiful hair!

  • You are so gorgeous! and I'm loving your beautiful hair! lol

  • awesome tutorial!! ima try it out tonight :-)

  • Beautiful!!

  • great tutorial, Thanks

  • beautifal hair!! love your curl pattern

  • Can you do this while transitioning?

  • French braiding is really easy...just section the hair as u did in this video grab three small sections of hair at the hair line and take the piece to from the right side and bring it over to the left grabbing a small amount of hair bring the left piece over and then the middle piece and grap hair with the middle... repeat

  • Hello Princess: I just found you on youtube. I am a woman of a certain age, if you know what I mean and have permed for at least 20 years and decided about 4 months ago to go natural. I was at a loss, but thanks to you info., I watched the, going natural, the clipping, and the braidout. The braid out i already did once in a while, but will do it regularly now. I'm making this the first day of really going natural, cause i really wasn't doing anything to my hair. I'll keep you abreast!!

  • @timewearson Also I needed to add that my hair has gotten thin in the front. Do you have any suggestions for that situation? And I have been using a silk cap at night.

  • Your hair is very beautiful. I have very long hair. I have decided to grow my relaxer out and your tutorials are very informative.

  • Sally's only sells the square ones where can we purchase the long rectangle ones?

  • where did you get the long satin scarf? Who is it by?

  • THANK YOU . i've been not permong my hair for about 4 months and i just stopped cause i never have seen my natural hair and i really want to. i never even knew there was such a thing as a braid out im going to do that towmorrow night once i take out my weave. thanks you !

  • so for a braid out you basically braid the hair at night and take it out in the morning....and just wear it out? That's it?

  • I LOVE your hair :)

  • My mother has that SAME scarf (the second one that was turquoise)

  • It looks like she is underbraiding from the back. Very Beautiful Hair!!!

  • Really nice.. can you also do this with relaxed hair but when your'e transitioning? And what products do you have to use cuz you've used water.. Thanks!

  • @JayLeeBaby Yes, this is one of the best transition hairstyles because it's curly and you don't have to blend two different textures. You can use any products that work for your hair. I put a little Cantu Shea Butter on my hair to moisturize. Then I put a non drying gel mixed with oil (the gel helps for hold). Then I braid it up and put a roller on the end. Just try it out and experiment on your own! :)

  • I thought gel and water was bad for your hair? Another question if you have just began the trasition process and your hair is mostly relaxed will braidouts still have the same effect??

  • @moochie0989 It will be a little thicker at the roots but it will work. And not all gels are drying to the hair. And why did you think water was bad for the hair? Water is black hair's best friend...it provides the moisture most people's hair is missing. Look for other videos and search Google for more answers.

  • i enjoyed it very much.. and you look very lovely!! i love that blue you had on...

  • is your hair permed in this video or natural

    -great vid! :)

  • is the braid out basically one big cornrow but its not from roots on back

  • so do you still have your relaxed ends?? how long have you been natural?

    YOU PWEETY!!

  • Can you do this style when going natural, or do you have to be completely natural to do the braid out?

  • Can you do this hairstyle to go natural...or do you have to wait until your completely natural to do this?

  • Just came across your informative tutorials. Have you found a product that offers the qualities you were looking for? I'm living in Germany and frantically trying to find products that will allow me to moisturize my transitional texturized to natural hair. I researched a line called Hair Rules by Dickeiy but unable to get them here in Europe. I's be interested in your search so far. Best.

  • I like this! I think I'm going to rock my hair out like that. I always wear braids but sometimes I want to do something like this.

  • What is that song called that is in your intro by janet jackson? Great vid. btw!

  • Looking at your natural texture it seems as if you never really "needed" a perm at all.I have been natural for about 10 years. My natural texture is similar to that of Ananda Lewis or Amel Larrieux. Can you recommend any frizz controlling products by any chance? Thanks.

  • i love your tutorials i wish i would have went natural earlier.

  • how do u get ur roots so flat? mine always get puffy!!

  • can u do cornrows or individuals?

  • thanks so much for posting this! I'm trying to grow my hair out. The ends are straight and the top of my hair is texturized. Now, I just want to go natural! i'm just tired of processed hair. i will try the braid out. Also, thanks for reconfirming that I DON'T have to do the big chop because I can't do short hair.

  • i love it

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • What texture do you have 3 or 4a-4b???

  • Thanks for posting this video. What's the name of the product?

  • is that your natural hair texture?>

  • you use put a relaxer in your hair why you have really nice hair

  • thx! great info for me as I begin the process of growing out my relaxer...

  • Cute.

  • Your method is like fantastic...this is my first transitioning braidout that i can actually wear it out...No matter what hair type you have this works bc i was avoiding doing your method because my hairtype is like 4a-b? but it really works so thanks and i love your videos :)

    *a happy transitioner*

  • i luv the tips you give!!! I can give my hair a break from excess heat. Thanks girl!!!!!!

  • I will be doing this tonight. Thanks.

  • What eyeshadow r u wearing in this vid it's gorgeous!

  • Are you putting grease on ur hair?

  • It was gel

  • Your hair is so beautiful.

You give me hope and inspiration every time i look at your wonderful curls. :)

  • Finding your video is a true blessing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • I wish I could just run my fingers through my hair after the braid out. My fingers would get chopped right off, lol. You have such a beautiful texture.

  • i am also natural minus the little relaxer at the end but for the most part im natural and about a week ago i went to the dominicans to let them blow my hair out and for the most part it turned out fine but NOW! my hair is going back to its natural state and i dont have $50 to give them ever two weeks so will this style work for me being that i am natural but its blown out???

  • Braidouts work for naturals w/ blown out hair. In fact, blowing the hair out helps to elongate it.

  • your hair is gorgeous!!

  • my hair is way to thick to braid with 3 i have to do like 8 braids. Also my hair has alot of shrinkage. How can i stretch my curs\ls?

  • love the eyeshadow what color is that?

  • I Love Ur hair!

  • Now I can do this. . .as a matter of fact, I have been for some time now. Just didn't know what else to do with it.

  • Thanks so much! I have a question...is it ok to do this when the hair is wet..like after you wash/condition the hair?

  • Yes but it will take longer to dry.

  • so all of the hair on this video is natural?

  • does your hair have to be long to do this style

  • thanks this was very very helpful!

  • really helpful

  • u are such an inspiration: ) thank you, and I love your use of makeup because some of the other people us 20 dollar products when I find N.Y in such cheaper. thank you again

  • what kind of gel did you say ? icoplus ?

  • loooooove it - u know i used to roll my hair but like after 20 mints looks like i did nothing .. love u :)

    abi..

  • do u wear ur hair wet 2 work

  • gosh.. thanks so much for this tutorial. i haven't done this braid style in very long time. but after seeing this video, i think it's time to go back to my natural hair. i can't tell you how damaged my hair is because of ONE: a relaxer(but i haven't had one in 6-7 years, i don't want any more) and TWO: how often i straighten my hair, and honestly i'm SICK of straightning . i would say, especially when wet your hair is rather similar to mine. i reallly miss my natural hair and i'm only 17! :(

  • From a women to a women. You are stunning without the makeup. But do you.

  • Very nice, thx for posting. :)

  • i dont wanna offend you or anything but are you balck or mixed race? x

  • shes black

  • @hwdgauykec7372 wow.

  • Hi. Your hair looks nice. I have a questions though. Do you recommend that a person wash and use setting lotion before braiding? I heard that last a little longer. Also, the photo that you held up in the magazine of the lady with the braidout, I saw that same picture in a hair magazine and it said that she had a straw set. Maybe it's to different magazines. Take care.

  • That's cute! I'm gonna try it.

  • Has anyone ever told you you look like or resemble LaToya Luckett? :0

I love your hair. I'm thinking about going natural.

  • I think so too lol..

  • Do that hair grease you use contain mineral oil or petroleum? If it does, do it make your hair break any?

  • Hi there! Yes it does and no it hasn't :-).

  • Thanks, bc my hair is similar to yours and need a cheap hair grease lol.

  • Do you use any type of conditioning "grease"? Something like pomade(I think I spelled it right) or hair food? I do but have to buy so much of it cause my mane is thick and will fly if not oiled heavily. Gels and mouses just dries it out and I'll be back to flying again. . . . :(

  • Be careful with Bronners Bros. I read on an article that this product has ingredients that are known to cause breast cancer.

  • @mzjazzy97 can u provide the link to the article?

  • this was so very informative. I am currently going natural and i thought that there was no cute way to do it so i was thinking that maybe i should just keep getting relaxers (although i have not had a relaxer in 3 months) but this just inspired me so much to just go all natural and do it the easy way.

  • lol i love that you used that janet jackson song as your intro especially since i think you favor her so much!!!! both beautiful women!!!

  • Thank you so much!! I find all your videos to be extremely helpful! You really explain and breakdown the process so I can see what you're talking about. I'm trying to transition from relaxed to natural and I think I'm gonna try to use this braid-out method the next time I wash and set my hair!!

  • how do you braid it and where do you start???

  • stupid question can i have the spelling on the bronabrue

  • Bronner Bros.

  • @foxy1ny ...I'm crackin up at "bronabrue", I was wondering the exact same thing...not a dumb question at all.

  • @yellagirl818 ...so than I see the post DPrincess28 left "Bronner Bros", real slow tonight, need to go to sleep...

  • did you put something in your hair before you braided it?

  • i have been trying braid outs for the past few days. i do about 6-8 cornrows and i apply a moisturizer before braiding (ors olive oil lotion and mizani h2o nighttime) then mist with water and sleep in satin bonnet and undo the braids in the morning, but i notice i have a lot of breakage from this style. any tips?

  • if you keep on braiding your hair like that everynight will it grow?

  • no....

  • do they hsve satin scarfs at sally's?

  • I've never bought one from there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. You should be able to get one at a drugstore in the hair section if not at your local beauty supply.

  • @sexxystarr1009 You might be better off getting a scarf at JcPenny's or some department store. They actually have the best ones for your hair. The ones at the BSS suck.

  • that looks really good!!!! i am black and filipino and my hair is kind of long but has that "black quality" and i was looking for a style thats different but would look good on me, and i think this is it thanks!!!!

  • love the look, keep it up ma

  • i like that

i used big curlers on the ends of my hair, your version would be easier to sleep in!

  • WOW!!! Your tutorials are extremely helpful!!! I'm assuming that it was some type of grease and of course water that you moistioned your hair with prior to braiding? Also, is it hard taking care of really thick/full long hair naturally. My hair is not course textured but not exactly straight either. Also, could I do a braid-out with permed hair? thank you

  • youv'e inspired me to go natural. I was always afraid to but after watchin EVERY SINGLE one of your videos i've made my decision. My hair is relaxed and used to be down to the middle to my back , but i recently cut it shoulder length but its so much maintenence and breakage so im ready. Thank you for inspiring me.

  • That's so good to hear! You'll love it ;)!

  • very cute!

  • This might be a silly question but, I really want to go natural but i have side swept bangs, so i'm not really sure exactly how i would go about braiding them. If you could give me a tip or something i would greatly appreciate it. ^^

  • Are they too short to braid at all? I would suggest you braid your bangs separately if they're too short to blend in with a larger braid. That way they'll have waves and you can blend them in with the rest of your hair when you finger comb it out.

  • What makeup brand do you have on? your eye shadow is so cute, I love it!

  • I definitely have to try this. I wonder if this would be a perfect time to use curl activator (while I'm braiding it). I hear that Jheri curl activator is a great moisturizer and promotes hair growth.

  • Lol...with those three braids you look like me when I was 5! Super cute!

  • i was wondering if i wash my hair and towel dry it, should i wait until it air drys before i braid it, or can i braid it while its wet

  • I always braid mine while it's wet. I just let mine air dry because I washed it during the day and I didn't want to walk around in public with my hair in plaits. If I had washed it at night, I would have braided it once I got out of the shower.

  • thank you so much for posting this video. i was just thinking today about what style i can do at home while i am transitioning. so far i have been slapping some cantu shea butter in my hair and putting it into a ponytail and that is causing my hair to break slightly. plus i don't know how to do cornrows so this style is perfect. thanks again :D

  • i love ur hair and what ur hair type ?

  • braidouts can break the hair

  • Who told you that?

  • how so?

  • purfecto!

  • Can I do a braidout even if my hair is fully relaxed?

  • yup! i used to do that

  • Yes, of course! ;)

  • Very pretty!!! You could a bicep tutorial! Look at you. Your arms look so cool. Great muscles. Perfect shoulders. And you are not even flexing your muscles are you? Dang... How do they look flexed. Very nice feminine storng arms. Quite sexy...

  • You are too funny! Thanks so much ;). I try to do a lil sumthin, sumthin in the gym, LOL!

  • this is cute. At nights, do you rebraid your hair to maintain the style?

  • Yes miss! I forgot to mention that in the video ;).

  • Thank you so much ladies!!!!

  • Its very easy to cornrow your hair. Its the same motion as braiding, you just add hair as you braid down. Almost likethe flat twist, but just with a braid. hope that helps.

  • pretty...

  • too cute

  • what is the name of the cream you put in your hair..thanks

  • visit her page and look at her "favorite products video" it will be in there and she describes why she likes each product she uses. Hope that helps :)

  • You are on it hun!

  • i tried braid out with cornrows it was so cuuute!

i do love your way! simple cute cute cute as always !!!!! thx 4 sharing!

  • Very simple and CUTE!
