This episode looks like a joke -- comparing George Washington vs. Napoleon purely in terms of how "deadly" they were is absurd. It's like they are trying to shoehorn a complex historical and political situation into some simplistic "wrestlemania" format. It twists the history and facts beyond all recognition. Any self-respecting historian would be embarrassed to be associated with such an idiotic approach. This is "history" for nine year olds!

america = quantity (you talk the talk but never do you show it)

I agree there was a general stereotyping in this episode and a natural leaning towards the americans mainly because this show is american made. Not to mention Washington only had to combat one major nation while being allied with a second super power (France), whilst Napoleon was against a coalition of major superpowers.

The people who created this clearly didn't study any history of the period, tactics of the period or weapons as they were used then. Their ignorance is rampant just watching these 9 minutes. Washington despised guerrilla tactics and the militia. After the early years of the war he himself didn't use them--the rifle was a pretty rare weapon even on the American battlefield. The army used muskets.he lost almost all his battles and would have lost the war if not for French intervention.

@IuniusPalladius As for Napoleon moving large armies, his most famous victories in Italy in 1796 and France in 1814 was at the head of a small army while heavily outnumbered. I'm an American but put Napoleon and Washington at the head of an equal number of troops from their armies, Washington wouldn't stand a chance. The creators of this show dealt with stereotypes and a preconceived outcome and made sure their conclusions fit that.

IN a FIVE VS FIVE George Washington had a great adventage because of his tactic, patience and courage. In a small army war GW win but in an all out War. Napoleon win.
