ok yes they were prompted to work as hard as they did by the father however, joe jackson beat his kids with belts etc and now hes promoting his label days after his sons death. what a ridiculous father he is doing the same thing he was always doing, promoting himself for the expense of others and who do you think the money went to afterwards? the jackson 5? I doubt it!

Seem his abusive father joe is very happy now that MJ is gone... he and janet can even manage to attend such awarding ceremony in michael's wake. they should mourn and spend one last final time to the lost of their beloved. i dont think they consider Michael as a family as what janet said. its quite obvious that people show more love to mj than his real family all they want is his fortune nothing else.. i really feel sad to MJ. i will miss him so much. the Legend lives on.

uhhh FYI janet and michael were very close. They are both the musical talented siblings in the jackson family. janet did need mikes money shes the highest paid music artist just like mike. Janet was upset, hurt, and distraught, i didnt see a reaction from Joe bc there prolly was no realtionship between them, but i kno janet and the siblings were hurt.

But did you even see the pre-interview on the red carpet with Joe Jackson? He was more worried about letting people know that he had a new record label rather than losing his son. Joe only went for his own selfish reasons. The tears and his appearance were a joke.

Did any of y'all see the interview with CNN at the BET awards? Talking about he and his family are doing great. When having to be reminded of the fact that it must be a hard time for his family he said "Yeah, we just lost the biggest superstar in the world.." And it goes on! Check it out! I saw it on CNN and my jaw just dropped! The man doesn't give a damn!

People need to learn their history, Joe Jackson did physically and mentally abuse his children so I dont feel sorry for him because he was never a father to them. I do feel sorry for MJ's children and the rest of his family. RIP Michael.

I thought it was great for Joe to be there, and I know that he truly loved his son. As for Ne-Yo, that guy is the real deal. I have been a fan of Ne-Yo for a while now. I also heard that he's even better in concert. The awards are over now, and most of the show was great. But I wish they would have left out the bafoonary of Drake and Lil Wayne. I'm sorry, but black people have WAY more talent in america than that bullshit. Michael didn't help pave the way for that kind of shit.

Joe is grieving. He must have to be very strong to show up in his son's honor. You can see he is very sad.
But he still came out for Michael's friends and to show his respect for everyone who came out for MIchael, all the celebrities who gave their talent and time to honor his son's memory and contributions to the industry and world.
