Stanley Clements (Charlie, the ex-con who is given the responsibility of taking the outstanding funds to the bank) also played Tony Scapone in 'Going My Way'. This movie won 7 Academy Awards in 1944, including Best Picture, with it's star, Bing Crosby taking home the Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of Fr. O'Malley. Stanley Clements' role was that of the fast-talking leader of the gang of boys that O'Malley takes under his wing.
Wow, Robert Florey! He was there for THE COCONUTS, my alltime favorite Marx Brothers movies, as well as episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE ("Perchance To Dream") and THE OUTER LIMITS ("Moonstone").
"D-P-I" {4:56} was Desilu Productions, Inc.; Loretta filmed the first two years of her series at Desilu, but NBC didn't want viewers to know that, because of Desilu's close association with CBS ["I LOVE LUCY", "OUR MISS BROOKS", et. al.]. Even Danny Thomas' "MAKE ROOM FOR DADDY", also filmed at Desilu, had to use the "D-P-I" identification in their credits until 1955.
loved it and love Loretta! wish there were more episodes?
