Those who deny peak oil are the same ones who deny anthropogenic global warming (AGW) or deny the holocaust of trillions of animals needlessly murdered in factory farms each year just because deniers refuse to go vegan. Ark, take it easy. Peak Oil can't be fraud simply because you cannot continue extraction of limited resource forever. Everything indicates there was peak 5 years ago. Maybe more oil was found, who knows. If so, it comes on line in mere 10 years, on average. I WORK in the oil and gas industry in the gulf of mexico. Almost all the oil platforms I work on have declining production figures, not increasing ones. The US gets 25% of it's oil from the gulf and the numbers are falling. Mexico's Cantarell oil field has collapsing production, and Mexico's government is utterly dependent upon selling that oil, mostly to us.

That's Midwestwatchdog's (and others) point.  The demand is getting higher than production capability. This really is a big problem and the mainstream doesn't know anything about it.
