I bought this game for 8 bucks.

I actually liked it! The one thing I found wrong in your review is that there was no reference to Max Payne! I mean, both these games, albeit different developers, look almost the same! I mean, the dive I thought was taken DIRECTLY from Max Payne!

What is your opinion on this?

Ok. It seems you are unaware but Max Payne was a tribute to John Woo especially Hard Boiled.

So everything (except the story) including moves in both Max Payne games come from Hard Boiled and similar John Woo movies.And since Stranglehold is considered a sequel to Hard Boiled,it does make sense that the moves and the dive you are talking about look similar.
