He did a good job back in the 70's and early 80's, (and he had more collaboration from others on the directing and production back then than he has had today) but that was then and this is now and the now has sucked pretty bad thus far.

Hey George, how about making a goddamn movie about the 18 years between episode 3 and 4? I mean the last 10 minutes of episode 3 were the only part of the prequel trilogy that felt like a real starwars film, so if you pick up from there, there's almost no way to go wrong. Oh wait I forgot, Lucas is a worthless fuck without a clue, who only knows how to add more special effects to make up for bad acting and poor plot.

And oh, just so happens to be the sole reason that special effects are what they are today. Happens to have singlehandedly created his own 'Empire', and singlehandedly created a franchise that is avidly watched by imbeciles like you. Unless you were watching this video completely by accident. No way to go wrong? Be honest, just what the hell happens between 3 & 4 that's interesting enough to make a series out of? Episode 12: Death Star lavatories nearly finished. Vader bored, no Jedi left.

Umm Han Solo and Lando make their careers as smugglers, Boba Fett makes his career as a bounty hunter, The Rebel Alliance is founded, the Galactic Civil War is fought, Jar Jar Binks and the worthless Mary Sue apprentice Lucas appears to have injected into this movie are gone. But whatever, I guess I'll go back to watching the real trilogy and forget anything from before episode 4 ever happened.

I think this movie has some potential. With the CGI, they could make some cool scenes they couldn't do with real actors. Still, this might turn out to be really stupid instead of really cool.

Than they could have left the Clone Wars to the imagination, then they should have made this movie episode 2 not in CGI, Lucas is never happy with the trilogy anyway thats why he went back and added to it, alot of people didn't like that. I grew up on Star Wars ever sience I was a kid, I saw Empire when I was 4 and Jedi when I was 7 in the 80s I always hated the Ewoks. Then they had the Ewok Adventure a TV movie and I hated it cause it had nothing to do with anything, Kinda like this Clone Wars.

At least the Force Unleased I can play and enjoy as a jedi, than leave the comforts of my home and spend 2 hours of my time going to the theater seeing Episode 2 1/2. This better be so Lucas can make more money to make episodes 7 8 and 9. In the 80s he used the Indiana Jones movies to drive profit for Jedi, he was in debt with Empire and Jedi but were the best of all the star wars series, but we crossed the line with this clone wars movie, and they should have kept it a series on cartoon network

It's worrying just how similar this looks to the live-action prequels which were almost as drowned in CG as this fully animated version. Course I'll have to watch it as a long suffering star wars fan who grew up on the original trilogy before it all went wrong :D Hopefully they'll at least stop messing up R2 and C3PO!
