  • What happened to Paul, did Mike leave him in Italy?

  • You know you're a big guy in a little car when you break a car seat and don't even notice.

  • what's the name of the song at 4:20 till 5:24

  • The way he said "finito" cracked me up so much.

  • HA HA HA Such a big trailer for a such small car. LOL !!

  • ahahaha, imagine all the Italians in the jam behind him "Vaffanculo!!" xD

  • "It's finito"

Thats a polite way of putting it? :P

  • I think because this is a 2 cylinder engine to make it go faster is it possible to fit motor cycle parts to the engine ?

  • according to the speedo, the car has done 3740 kilometers in 35 years.. mike planned to add almost 1300 kilometers in ONE DAY

  • We had one of these when I was 5 - it wouldn't go from one side of town to the other when it was nearly new without breaking down, 800 miles was just unthinkable. We had to buy another one for parts just to keep the "good" one going. Lord knows how bad it would be 30 years later. Utter garbage.

  • never drive a old car for hundreds of miles!

  • nice to see Mike getting his hands dirty for once at 3.32 - proof that he does have mechanical knowledge after all!

  • That's a horrible death trap, what on earth were they thinking? I wouldn't drive that hupmobile even from my front door to the mailbox...

  • Its hilarious watching Edd work on this car...hes almost as broad as the car!

  • he should have inspected the engine when he bought it..the generator bracket was cracked already....

  • you left Paul in Italy?!?! I feel so sorry for that guy!

  • wait... was he going to try to cross the alps in a 500?

  • he got ripped

  • I saw this first time, right after seing the Bentley episode where Edd was swearing about the size of the paintwork... I thought he had himself a nice little task this time...! ;o)

  • edd broke the seat

    haha

  • It looks so small on that (relatively) huge trailer :-)

  • hey, where was his mate paul in the car who come to pick him up?? look at 2.26 mins, mike was in the car on his own driving

  • 03:07:03:09 the best part!!

  • ed loves this car more than ever other i think i know he likes quriky

  • I liken driving a riding mower. Man, what are you thinking--Italy to England!!!! At least it's easy to push.

  • Its a 50 year old design, still around today, very successful i'd say, mr moron you

    are such a parasite...

  • Did he really think that a 39 year old Fiat 500 would get all the way from Torino to London, or wherever he's going. That's stupid. Like riding a horse of the same age over the same distance.

  • When this fat piece of shit tries to work out if he's "made a fat profit" I wonder if he'll factor in the £1000+ that it cost for Paul to come and recover the piece of worthless crap he over-paid for...

  • @polakdawido - "fiat cinquecento" means fiat 500, so no. it's the right car. look it up

  • He could've DAed it with 400 dry paper and then block sanded it. He's not even using a block. I would've just done the outside in the same colour after 320 wet and dry sanding it.

  • "cinquecento"??? cinquecento is a totally different car. ED you pumpkin!!!!

  • I know its a classic but could you imagine if it had a busa engine

  • Good old Paul - he's always there to save the day.

  • lol what did he do with the guy who brought the SUV? Put his body in the boot? :D

  • They could have just chucked the 500 in the trunk, why did they get a trailer?

  • I wonder how many VW owner know that the MK1 golf is an Italian car?

It was designed by GIORGETTO GIUGIARO of Bertone fame in the 70's for VW.

Most cheap cars from the 50's are long gone, the fiat 500 is still going strong if its as bad as people say why is it such an icon around the world?

  • @alfistii1 It is not an Italian car, everything apart from the looks, is German top quality engineering. Even today, most cars get the looks from Italian design houses, but that does not make them Italian.

  • @alxcsb ; The fiat 500 is an italian car, what planet you from lol

  • @Pinin500 I wasn't talking about the Fiat.

  • @alxcsb ; apologies, didn't read page 2

  • @Pinin500 OF COURSE it's an Italien car. That's why it broke down and is utterly worthless. And, if it rains, the electrics will all pack up as well. Italien cars are as reliable as the Italien army in a war...

  • @mikebrewerisamoron i had an alfa romeo and it had excellento electricos

  • Italian cars are built with style and passion, puts the fun back into driving.

German cars built for motorists more interested in mpg, emissions bore bore.

Fiat may own Ferrari, Alfa, Lancia all blue chip brands, so you get some ferrari DNA in the affordable models too, and so much better looking than the competition its embarrasing.

  • Thank god for Ed.

  • 2300 pounds without doing any research or getting history of the car, I think Mike was royally screwed!

  • The fiat 500 dun like that fat ass

  • you can push the car to Britain. It's light and cheaper :))

  • haha Edd wears it like a suit

  • Dickhead try cheaking the oil

  • Italiian´s are the best doing fine wine´s and good food, not building cars =)

  • @torvherk ummm....ferrari, lamborghini, alfa romeo??

  • Oh at least there's still a chinese shitbucket to get him home.

  • that car is tiny

  • Clown car for big people>>

  • that original paintwork looked grand

  • i think they could have put that fiat inside that SUV easily , no need for a trailor :)

  • @Verliebt lol yes i am sure they could have stuffed that piece of shit right in the back :).

  • Holy shit, Paul spoke!

  • They should have just polished it but then, where's the show in that.

  • He paid 2900 euros which is egual to around 2300 pounds. Euro's are accepted throughout most of europe and the pound is British currency.

  • The car looks tiny compared to Ed...! XD

  • Does any one know the name of the song played between 4.16 and 5.26? =)

  • I'd find Diego and fuck him up

  • @TheHITLERFAN

=He paid 2900 Euros, which converts to roughly 2300 pounds.

  • This is classic car

    rarity

  • Edd didnt seem arsed when he sat on that seat and it collapsed, what if he had bent the frame? i bet it would be a nightmare to get hold of a new 1 or even secondhand

  • If a car bent the frame just because a 80-90kg man sat in it it wouldn't be a classic. This surely would've been a noted problem. Edd mayby tall but he's very slender, surely not over 90kg... And yeah while it looks like the seat couldn't take it, if it doesn't spring back then there's a serious problem with the seat.

If just sitting in it had caused permanent damage Edd should just laugh at Mike for buying a dud and move onto the next vehicle

  • Mike shouldnt have even attempted 2 drive such an old and small car 800 miles back to the uk its obvious that without a damn good service and check over it aint gonna make it. He just got in and drove off probaly didnt even check the oil.

  • He should have bought a Fiat 124 Coupe!

  • Oh NO Mike! He bought a complete Lemon for a HUGE amount of money!

Jesus, I wish he was more careful which cars he buys. . . Every car enthusiast knows old italian cars have rubbish relaibility, which, BTW, would explain why people say a motorcycle engine is a good swap!

  • @benzlover55

Only an alternator. Should be a cheap easy fix.

  • I haven't seen the other parts yet but I have a feeling they're NOT gonna make money from this one ....

  • @ 3:09 LOL, he broke the seat.

  • this is an exellent show...after repairing cars for 20 yrs, mostly insurance fixies....this is a great show for all you backyard fixers.

  • 41 seconds in, I think this is the only time I've ever seen Mike actually being serious about something. He's usually hamming it up for the purposes of the show and generally injecting some TV moments into the filming.

  • where did paul go after he bought the car and trailer????

  • Paul flew back with hes jetpack.

  • the car looks so small on the trailer.

  • Is this video from 2009?

  • A lemon, but at least a goodl ooking one. ;)

  • Why the hell did they paint it? It did not look bad

  • heap of shit for a city poseur

  • how old is this programme ?

  • few months.

  • There is no way on earth that Edd could fit in this car, it looks like a toy next to him :D

  • I love this car! I've got a new 500 and there were 2 of the originals at a recent meet, they were both stunning cars, one guy was an Italian man who had owned it from new! Was the same colour as this one too :)

  • 2300 pounds or 2900 euros

    :)

  • He said he payed 2300 now, and 2900 before

  • possibly pound conversion?

  • I want to know whose cars those are that are at the beginning when they are standing in that bunch . . .there was a lagonda sitting there, ed looks like a giant working on an elven car . . .

  • If only they would do a Lagonda!

  • they knew they were going to buy a car that needed work, because edd has to fix something on the car, instead of just repainting it!

  • why didnt he tke it bk to the place he bought, dodgy italian fucker! funny though!

  • "something is really wrong with this car... it's FUCKED"

  • when he came back into the car and said its finito i thought he was gonna say its fucked haha

  • same here =D

i had to do a double take
