This Song is I'm His Child. You can find it on the Say Amen Somebody soundtrack. I can email it to who ever needs It. I love this song.l And I read this play a while back for a theatre class. It is an awesome work

Zella Jackson-Price is a well known gospel singer and this is her signature song. She grew up with the gospel greats like Mother Ford Smith, etc. The drag queen in the flim does a good job of lipsynching the words. Thanks to Zella for lending her voice to this uplifing movie.

The disappointing thing is that there's so little of the real Zella Jackson-Price out there. Did she ever do an album or CD? She is among the greats, but I wish there were more recordings of her. The cast of gospel stars in "Say Amen Somebody" is amazing and she sure can hold her own among them.

Yes. She has an LP called "ZELLA". The subtitle is "Say A Little Prayer," which is also the "hit song" on the album. The album was released in 1981.

A person is only a child of God when they accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior. Jesus says this to the Pharisees in the gospel of John. We are all God's creation, but not everyone is God's child...I know this goes against the present day Hollywood religion and politically incorrect...but I don't lean on America for my Faith, Theology, or Moral and Ethical Values. To believe otherwise is to call Jesus a liar and that I will not do...you and others are free to do so...

The original recording was done during the make of "Say, Amen" a documentory done in the early 80"s. I feature Willie Mae Ford Smith, Thomas A. Dorsey, The Barrett Sister, The O'Neal Twins and Zella Jackson Price. Zella's performance was on You Tube some months ago, but was removed about two months ago. Just an FYI.

PS. I have the "Say, Amen" movie DVD and the CD. I love all the song on both. Love!!
