It's true, before these drugs entered schools, violent crimes were much lower. They increased right along with the introduction of these drugs. We are playing with the calming/violence levels in these kids and it's not worth it. They can get calmer AND THEN MORE VIOLENT than they would have otherwise.

I have ADD and when i was younger my parents put me on drugs to make me "focus" more... Yeah i focused... but i also became very sad... i remember coming home from school and i'd start sobbing for hours... for no reason! It was really scary, and it freaked out my mom, so she took me off. I'm so happy she did. And although i struggled over the years, i've learned to over come it myself :)

I knew all of this before and i strongly approve these messages .... the last scared me to the point of tears .... i agree its child abuse .... they are prescription drugs for ADULTS not children

damn....... the doctor put me on concerta/ritalin when i was 12 and i felt good the first week then i stared to feel depressed and then i thought i was going crazy and shit i could not sleep and was scared to do stuff like i wanted to kill my self then i stopped taking them now i feel like in back to my good self. :)

im pretty sure the government knew from the beginning what these drugs where exactly, and the effects we can today see on the population are the ones wanted from the beginning

teachers are being told by higher people in the hierarchy, they arent aware of the effects of the medication. some doctors dont even know whats in there and give it to their patient

but schools are being run by the government, its the government who asked teachers and doctors to recommand this drugs to the parents

im pretty sure the government knew from the beginning what these drugs where exactly, and the effects we can today see on the population are the ones wanted from the beginning

Did you know that almost every kid who is in the foster care system is automatically put on these drugs without even seeing a doctor? I was one of those kids. I now have 2 kids of my own and I refused to drug them even though when they were younger both of them had teachers who recommended that I take them to be tested for ADD and ADHD. I refused and my kids are fine. They are now 15 and 17 and both are doing great. In fact one has a 4.0 GPA. Teachers need to stop pushing this crap!

I'm currently being released from a mental hospital on all sorts of ridiculous medications, haldol, risperidol, ativan, depakote, and zybrexa. I'm sick of this nonsense -- I don't need ANY medication, and I'm tired of being FORCIBLY placed on them.

Thanks for your concern. You may have read of all sorts of side effects of prescription drugs. You hear it on drug ads & in the news. What drug doesn't have some bad side effect?

You may have read of how so many of the school shooters were on or withdrawing from these psychiatric drugs when they killed. Kids just didn't do that sort of thing before these drugs; it's one of the many known side effects of the drugs.

Most people need to realise that the drug will never solve anything, how would psychiatry benefit from that? As long as it Copes with it and the drug becomes addicted, There making billions. Its a money industry, they were never here to help and they never will be.
