Omg i live here. and today i went downtown and saw them filming. i saw sophia bush and met chelsea staub (she's really nice), i guess she plays a new role in there (Tara, thats what her trailer said)

hey, i love one tree hill and really want to take a trip to wilmington, im not sure if your american or english or what, but if your from the UK wqhat did you use to organise your trip and all? x

@lozzaismad I am American. I didn't really organize my trip. I was in North Carolina on vacation and I stopped in Wilmington for a couple days when I drove home. othfans.com has a list of locations on their site and I looked up a couple places and then just drove around and explored the city. There is no professional travel agency or company that organizes the "tour" for you.

When I went we snuck up the stairs at tric and signed the door :)

And also we touched brooks red door and ran away really fast!

I also took a blue q-tip from brooks beach house on set :)

@xoxlorelaixox lol thats awesome!!! :) kool I was in Wilmington back in November the last week of filming saw karens cafe before they were done shooting and saw the rivercourt one last time :( got to see brookes house and Lucas house that was great too! I love that town wanna go back in April even though they are no longer filming there because the town itself is really nice. Also got to see kates show at the soapbox on November 16th right in wilmy!! she sang I don't wanna be so emotional ;)

who klives in the houses they use?

@CupOfLilies They are all private residences that the studio or network rent out. It is no one in particular. The producers usually pick the houses for location, exterior shots, or other aspects related to filming.

@CupOfLilies People live in them if OTH is not in production however, most of the houses aren't on the show anymore, so they are all occupied by local individuals When I was in Wilmington, Lucas/Karen Lucas/Peyton's house was for sale. So yes, there are local people living in the houses.

do you know how it is they filmed at the school, like is it an old highschool?

@collegemakeupgirl The exterior shots are filmed at an actual school (Cape Fear Community College) and they built a set in the studio to do the interior shots.

There is a studio tour, but as far as locations around Wilmington, you have to find them yourself. It's tons of fun though.

I just came back from Wilmington and it stole my heart (i'm French). I had shot like 1600 HQ pictures from One Tree Hill filming locations, ahah. They were filming on Market Street when i was there (3 weeks ago)

Yes. It is very nice, especially the downtown area. Wilmington is great, but like every city, there are 'sketchy' parts of town. It's a little overpopulated, I attribute that to tourists, but it is nice.
