Socialism is a doctrine of group ownership, and govt control, something you dont understand. FDR prolonged the great depression by draining the currency, and making it illegal to trade in gold. Capitalism is an economic system free of govt. Once again you wrong. Bush exercised his socialist policies by extending medicare coverage, which skyrocked the cost of prescription drugs. FDR is in fact one of the worst presidents of all time. What could have been a two year depression was 10 years long.

The depression could have been over in a matter of months, not a decade. What is your point of reference. Roosevelt took everyone's gold, and squandered it, and the only thing he ever did to get us out of the depression, is purposely get us into ww2. The war ended the depression, not Roosevelt.

When democrats took control in congress, the wanted to enact their super save the world plans, and urged mortgage lenders to approve subprime loans to questionable clients.
