  • One thing I loved about Mike's "pop" output in the 80's is that he did it his way, which made all the difference. Later in his career he really went over the commercial line and made some horrible music but his early to mid 80's was really his best commercial work (actually anything before the repulsive "Islands" album is really good...after that...not so much)
