you also said that they were a mix of tribes...in fact they weren't linked to thrace,they occasionally moved(also in north),and the same dacians and scythians went many times in thrace...influencing that land...you said that coastal thracians feeled themselves greeks...i don't think so and this isn't disputable...but consider that in no one greek inscription or text thracians are considered greeks...they were considered barbarians,as well as macedonians,and even more...

you can find much more in wikipedia(also lists of thracian terms)and many other sites talking about thracian language,but i think it's enough...they,as you can read,are more related to dacians and getae(in fact many at that time considered getae a thracian tribe)than to greeks...the same thracian language was similar to dacian...

Note also that in ALL Thraecian cities near the Aegean coast but also Black sea coast - and I am not talking about the colonies - Thraecians had left only Greek writings! There is not a single wiriting in their own languages/dialects. Which let us think that those coastal Thraecians were indeed feeling Greek, those on the inner side were various layers of Greek-non Greek mixes to reach up to the Danube.

Phyletically Phrygians were very close to what Greeks looked like, i.e. Mediterranean. Dacians and Scythians would be vastly different to them looking more Dinaric like with more light-coloured hair and eyes (light brown, red and blond, blue and espeially green eyes).
It goes without saying that occasionally northern tribes descended down since the age of mythology but that did not change much the picture, on coast you found mediterranean-like people in the north inner-lands Dinaric-like.

Still in classical times and despite the divergence of languages, their languages showed recent common roots and not word exchanges) to Greek dialects and permited some inter-comprehensibility implying that prior to their movement in inner Minor Asia they could share more common roots. These Thraecians had nothing in common with Dacians in Romania or Scythians in Ukraine...
